What is the most accurate running app for the iphone4?

What is the most accurate running app for the iphone4?
I was using Nike+gps and was shocked to find I ran about a 7.5 minute mile pace this morning.
I knew it had to be wrong. I just went and drove the route and it was only 2.5 miles - not the 5k it was supposed to be according to the app. So I really ran 9 and a half minute miles.
I just looked at the map, and from afar it looks good, but if I zoom all the way in, it shows all these strange zig zags that I know I did not do, which added the extra mileage.
I did a search online and it appears this has been an ongoing problem with no resolution.
I am really trying to get back into running and am taking my "training" very seriously. I'm upset that I thought I did m "minimum" run this morning of 5k, only to find out it was much shorter.
What does everyone recommend? TIA!

Mich get a garmin watch.
You can also try the adidas micoach app, but it is very similar to the nike +. Maybe that area gets bad service and will be the same with any gps program, who knows?

Yes, but again yesterday it did the same thing and made it look like I zigzagged all over the road (and onto people's property too hahah) but it only added an extra .1 mile yesterday so it wasnt a big deal. Just annoying because I like to make up my runs as I go depending on how I'm feeling and now I have to go check the mileage after the fact.

I have been having the same issue and I don't think its the app. its the gps on the phone itself that is not accurate. therefore any aps app you try to use will be off. I plan to get a garmin watch or the new nike gps watch in a few weeks.
