What is the worst FB drama you've ever seen?

Someone I went to HS with must be going through a horrible divorce with history of DV and custody issues.

She posted this whole thing blasting him last night and airing their history. He also is on her page and "liked" the update.



Immediately a whole bunch of people responded to take that shite down immediately, especially since she is battling it out in court.

I also sent her a private message encouraging her to look up parental alienation and to PLEASE block him and anyone with connections to him immediately.

I know people go through rough times but I have such a hard time wrapping my head around why you would get to a place where you are airing all on FB?

"Bragging" is one thing since we know that is mostly what that site is for but.........sheesh.

I cringed for her last night.

OMG I hate stuff like this.

One of my FB friends is a single mom and having trouble with her son's behavior. Understandable and I'm sure it's very hard and she doesn't have enough support or people to talk to. BUT the things she posts about her son on FB...holy crap. I feel so uncomfortable reading it because I feel like it's stuff I shouldn't know and stuff that should stay private. One time she had asked family to pick him up from school and they didn't show up so she went ballistic on FB saying all sorts of awful stuff about them and then they commented on it and it was like watching an episode of Jerry Springer on FB.

She had every right to be upset but why oh why did it need to go on FB?? I don't get it, leave that stuff for private messages, phone calls, or face-to-face conversations. How embarrassing!

What is the worst FB drama you've ever seen?

One of my FB friends had a surprise baby shower thrown for her from a few of her friends. They rented out the back room of this tiny restaurant and had brunch- there was maybe about 10 of them. She kept posting photos of this saying "I love my friends, what a wonderful shower" etc. Well the sister of my friends husband made a snotty comment along the lines of "it's not a shower if her family isn't there", and it snowballed into this huge fight over FB- it was over 130 comments long on her status. There had to have been more to this, because my friends husbands family was TRASHING her over facebook- I felt so bad.

There's this crazy girl I went to HS with. She posted on FB, about a day or so before her birthday, that she was planning on giving her boyfriend an ultimatum: propose or else.

Her birthday came and went, and I guess the ultimatum didn't go as planned. Because the next day she posts this rambling psycho FB update... you know, YELLING IN ALL CAPS. Basically she was letting the world know that her boyfriend had a very small penis and was, in fact, gay. Only she chose different, less politically correct words

I had a "friend" posting selfies in her bathroom. Bragging about her new jordans. Well in the background of the pic was a disgusting mess. So someone said.."how about you clean up the cat shit off the floor before you post about your fancy new jordans" and it was a straight drive to drama city after that comment.

There have been a few but this is the most recent that I can remember this early.

Whoops, I went to correct a typo and deleted my post by accident. Oh well-- there was this other girl who was getting divorced and over-shared a lot of information about her cheating DH. Well one day, all her ex-inlaws came out of the woodwork ganging up on her, basically blaming her for the whole thing. It was a total ambush. Some of it was in Spanish so I didn't understand it, but you could get the gist of the conversation, lol That's why you don't air your dirty laundry on FB!!!

A person passed away. His girlfriend (& baby's mother) was posting about how financially difficult this time was for her. His family started posting on it about how much she gets from Social Security and blablabla. It was pretty cruel.

This stuff drives me crazy!!!

A few years ago DH's 3rd cousin - who I've met once! - aired out ALL her drama on FB! She was dating a guy who nobody liked and got pregnant so they got married. Her parents were NOT happy, they told her to leave him and they would help with the baby but she didn't listen. A year after the marriage they were getting a divorce and it was NASTY! She said he cheated on her, physically abused her, claimed the child wasn't his, got into a fist fight with her dad...all of this was posted on FB.

Fast forward to about a year later and they were back together and she was expecting another child. The kids are now 4 and 6, the divorce never went through and everyone acts like nothing ever happened!

I recently saw some absolutely stunning buduoir pics on my friends wall. I don't love that. The feeling of not knowing who or what's behind a screen makes me extremely uncomfortable for her. I think some things need to be more discreet to those you absolutely know are looking at them. I also don't love death notices on Facebook. Not a fan

I said it before and will say it again...people need to grow the EFF up when it comes to Facebook. Grow up!
It really is disturbing how immature people act when on that site.
Airing dirty laundry, personal problems, fighting with people.
It's worse than High School and it's such a turn off.

thankfully i dont have much of that, or anything i can remember... most of the arguments i see are political.



But recently after the Sandy anniversary Shauns cousin made a post and thanked a bunch of people... He forgot to thank Shaun and my parents and one of his aunts... his wife and 3 kids stayed at my parents house for a week after the storm then she went to his aunts house... so my MIL went off on him... shes a jerk anyway.

And another one involving her, my friend said something about her son & my daughter drinking booze together (mind you they are both under a year old at this point lol) and my MIL got nasty with her... it was probably worse because shes an alcoholic.

One of my old co-worker's wife did this constantly. I mean it was every other week. On blast about what he does and doesn't do, who he's seeing, lies he's telling. But I don't know if I even believed the sh!t she wrote. It was insane and sad. Her family would constantly comment to take it down and not make it public.

As awkward as it can be, I actually don't the Jerry-Springer-esque drama and oversharing on FB. It's far less annoying than the bragging and "feeling blessed".

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Facebook drama !!! It's like a movie. tee hee, so hilarious to watch grown ups make total and complete fools of themselves over the freakin' internet for the WHOLE world to see - I never comment or get involved, but Oh how I LOVE a good drama !!!

I really will never ever understand the need to tell the whole world every single detail of your life - is NOTHING private anymore????

When it comes to Facebook and email I go by a very hard fast rule I learned from Judge Marilyn Milan of the Peoples Court:

"Say it forget it, write it regret it"

I will never get into drama on Facebook. If I get a bit carried away I will always go back and delete the comments.

It hasn't come to drama yet, but I am seeing a lot of "I'm broke, how do I save money, do I need to file chapter 7" statements followed by "where should I book my vacation, which piece of jewelry should I get, does anyone have a recommendation for a new SUV" so I am guessing the drama isn't far behind.

Other than that, the worst drama I ever saw was related to a woman who stole money from her friends. That was nuts.

Recently, my aunt (a staunch Republican) posted something about Kathleen Sebelius in a FB status.

Apparently, her SIL, Katie, misread and thought my aunt was talking about her (I still don't understand WHY she thought that) and posted a whole rant about how she understands why none of her sisters like her and why people hate her, etc.

Then she came back on when several people (including me ) commented to say that the post had NOTHING to do with her and tried to retract what she said.

It didn't work.

Drama that happened last week with me. Had FB for years and this the first and only time i had drama.

I posted a convo that I had with my DS and called my dad a loser. I forgot my half sister is my friend on FB because we never speak . Well she responded on this rant about how im lying and slandering my dads name. I told her to stop and she kept on. I was actually finding it commical. But then she posted about me being a bad mom and about how my son isnt her nephew.

Long story short my older sister got on and went all momma bear on her. It got nutty.

There so much tension and history there that it only made sense to my moms family. Anybody else probably thinks we are batsh!t crazy.

End of story, I deleted her from FB and they are basically deleted from my life.

A girl that put her dad's dog to sleep when he was on vacation bc she thought the sick dog was too much responsibility for him. He was old but also on fb. It went on and on and was insane/ I couldn't get enough.

a girl who i knew from college, sent me a message a day after I had ds and told me how I shouldn't have him circumcised. Then went on to say if I do have him circumcised, I should consider having female circumcision performed on my dd because "it's only fair". She was immediately removed from my friend's list.
