Very few people have the ability to hurt me by saying something bad about me. It would have to come from my dad or my DH in order for me to truly care. If it came from anyone else I'd probably dismiss it due to some character flaw on the other person's part.

I hate that I care what people say about me, I am extremely sensitive about judgement...I would probably be hurt if someone called me bitchy just because I am shy. I tend not to open up to people that easily...

it is very hard to offend me or make me feel badly...most people could say/call me anything and it wouldn't phase me.
but certain people know how to get under my skin....the worst thing I could hear is that I disappointed someone I love.
I'm the same way.
I'm pretty comfortable in my skin so not much -if anything- truly offends me. I would be devastated though if a loved one told me I disappointed them.
I agree! Especially if it was DH or my mom!

Now that I am a mom, that I am a bad mom.
First runner up would probably be that I am a flake or unreliable, that you can't count on me. I know these things are untrue, but they are probably the ones that would bother me most.

To tear down the roles I hold in life..i.e. mom, daughter, sister, wife, teacher, etc.
Also, if someone said I was selfish and not giving, I would fall over. Not to be conceited but I try VERY HARD to be both ALL OF THE TIME and if someone thought differently, it would kill me.

ITA with this statement. I think we do our best to try to hide the flaws within ourselves so if someone were to call you out on it it makes you feel exposed and vulnerable.

Anything negative would hurt me. I am just really sensitive like that, I guess. Unlike alot of people, I really DO care what people think of me.
I was always known as the one that was "too nice". I guess its because I dont go around talking trash about other people- that could be the reason.
Bottom line- People will always have something to say. I always remember though. Any negative thoughts they have about someone indicates some type of void they have in their lives.
