brown rice made with Chicken Stock and sauteed garlic
Elbee can you give me the recipe for your rice dish...sounds good...
Ina medium sized pot - Saute some chopped garlic (1 - 2 cloves, depends on what you like) on low heat in oil (olive, sesame, peanut - whatever you want) until garlic is soft & clear, not brown& burnt. In a measuring cup, pour 1 can of chicken stock then fill the rest with water to get to 2-1/2 cups of liquid. Pour into pot with the sauteed garlic and bring to a boil. Slowly add 1 cup of brown rice, stir and bring back to a boil then lower to low/medium heat and simmer for 45 minutes (or until done).
You can also add onion and chopped spinach and sautee then add liquid & rice as above for even more flavor. That's yummy.
After you fill the pot with chicken how much wather do I add exactly?

Open a can of chicken broth ... put the broth in a measuring cup (maybe 14 oz is a can, I'm not sure about that), then fill the rest with water until you get 2-1/2 cups of liquid.
Or you can do 2-1/2 cups of all chicken broth. I just won't open a second can if I only need a little more liquid.
So 1 cup = 8 oz So if you need 2-1/2 cups of liquid to cook 1 cup of brown rice, that's 20 oz of liquid. If a can of chicken broth is 14 oz (you need to check this to make sure), you would need 6 oz of water.

Chicken with Garlic - Spanish recipe.
I got the whole wheat angel hair at Ivarone, I forget which brand tho. I usually find the whole wheat pasta to be heavy and gooey, that's why the angel hair is nice. I've also bought it at Fairway but I don't remeber the barnd name, sorry ..
