What is your baby's favorite non-toy that s/he plays with?
DS loves anything plastic that makes crinkly noises - plastic bag his diapers come in, the wipes bag, potato chip bags, etc.
DS also likes to bang on my laptop and play with my blackberry or DH's iphone.

cell phones (we gave her two old ones), DVD's (she studies the covers), empty wrapping paper rolls, pens and my notebooks (loves to write, looks like a mini journalist), loves Rachel Rays magazines and brings them in her kitchen and pretends to cook from them.

remotes, keys, paper (inc. magazines and books)
they also love wooden spoons, so I got them one that is officially now a toy.

Cell phones. Always into them, but now he knows how to play video on it. It keeps him very happy during meals.

hmm,,the tags from his clothes after I tear them off, a red solo cup, the remote, my cell phone, the coordless phone, the kitchen chairs (he pushes them around).

I would play in/around that house also!!!!!
My answer would be that my son loves to play with my husband's insulin pump  . It's not as dangerous as it sounds and DH does not let him do much with it, of course. It's like a beeper or cell phone. Whenever he plays with anyone, he lifts their shirt to check for either a pump or a cell phone.

socks are a biggie.. laces and straps.... i have a plastic tub from bjs that a party mix in it he plays with.... and he just figured out how to take the diaper genie apart so that is now his fun, yet stinky, new game...
