What is your current favorite thing you and your DC do that you hope to keep in your mind forever?

Just putting this out there for memories if nothing else. Written record of I remember when........

Right now its still wake up and sleep time. When she was younger I loved holding her hands as she fell asleep next to me. Or stroking her silky hair as she slept on my shoulder. She's bigger now. She sleeps in her own room without me.

But there are times....

After a bath we sit her in her chair in the living room (an upholstered chair) and she watches whatever while I comb out her hair. And sometimes she'll fall asleep. I will continue to comb out that fine hair as she's sleeping but the look at her face is priceless. Then after her hair is nearly dry, I'll pick her up and put her in her bed. As I do I tell her "Going to put you to bed now, ok?" and she'll nod just slightly and when I gather her up, she'll toss an arm over my shoulder and as much of my neck as she can, she'll push her face near me and say groggily "I love you mama" Then I put her down with her lamb and her towel she curls up on her side and she's asleep.

She grows up so fast. I already know I'll miss these days. How I love them while they're here!

it's definitely sleep and wake up time for me.

last night as he was trying to get comfy in his bed, I was laying near him in my bed. he crawled up on top of me and put his face on my face and say "ee I ee I oooo" over and over again, interspersed with "mamma mamma, mamma mamma"

I begged my brain last night to remember it. to keep the feeling of his hands and cheek burned in my memory forever.

She's almost 2 and my favorite thing is already coming to an end....

I loved taking a nap with her. she would always wrap her arm around my arm, get as close as humanely possible to me, her face right up to my face on the pillow. I could hear & feel her breath.
Now if I try to take a nap with her she usually wants to be in her own spot


My favorite right now is just sitting on the couch with her in my lap, stroking her hair, she wraps her arm in mine. She just wants to cuddle with mama & watch her shows.

Or doing a puzzle with her. I love to see her laugh and put the pieces together.

I work at home and sometimes do errands upstairs during the day or go out to the store or whatever. If my kids hear me walking around upstairs they come to the stairs and ask for hugs, cuddles or kisses. If I have to leave and whne I come back they are outside with the nanny, they get so happy and yell MOMMY! Mommy came back! They are just always so happy to see me. It is sweet. They also like to go "night night in Daddy's bed" Not sure why its not my bed, but whatever

Bedtime when he puts his head on my shoulder and goes limp

Mornings when I go in to get him and he starts jumping up and down with excitement like he's won the lottery

I am ridiculously emotional lately and if I wasn't holding back, I'd be bawling right now reading this. Literally can't type mine out because I don't feel like crying lol.

Its the simplest thing, but nits when Kate just puts her chubby hand on my leg when I'm sitting down. She can be watching tv or Amelia and she just puts her hand on my leg.

I also love when my girls dance. They have no rhythmn like their mommy, but they just "feel the music.". Its quite adorable.

Amelia I love when I see how happy she is when shes in her swim lessons. She just chats and chats away, so I know she comfortable.

They really are cute kids.

how happy he is to see me when he wakes up. When i walk into his room i am always greeted with a huge grin and lots of excitement.

his pure very real laugh. it's so contagious!

every time he does something new and looks over to see our reaction. and when he knows it's good he starts clapping to show us how we should be reacting.

My favorite thing right now is the morning and night time routines. In the morning, I'd walk in and the minute she sees me, she'll have this HUGE smile on her face. At night, I'll sing to her and she'll put her little face in my neck

All of these have put such a smile on my face...

Right now, I love how sometimes I will sit her on my lap, and she will just curl into my chest and fall asleep. She doesn't so this with anyone else. Something about Mommy, I guess...

It's funny, I want her to grow up so we can do so many things, but I want time to stop right now too. Too many things to just fall in love with over and over...

We'll just be relaxing and DD puts her head against me and turns her face in and says "hug mommy" so I open up my arms and give her a hug...then say kiss kiss and she gives me the biggest kiss

And she'll look at me and give me silly eyes and/or silly face and just giggle and then we hug/snuggle....TO DIE FOR UGH!

and also her dancing...so free and crazy, I love it....warm fuzzies all over

i looove all of these! right now, my favorite thing is the way she looks at me with such an intensity in her eyes (she's almost 5 weeks old). everyone has noticed that she looks at me completely different than she looks at everyone else. and if my DH is holding her and playing with her, she'll still follow me wherever i walk. i love it. oh and we snuggle in bed in the mornings. its so sweet.

It's definately bedtime. When we read, I sit on her bed with her and she says, "Mommy, can we cuddle up?" and then afte we're done reading, she lays down and we talk about her day. I really just love the bonding time with her, and I hope we always do it, and remember it. I know that as she grows up I won't be cuddling with her or lying next to her to talk about her day, but even if she just takes a few minutes to tell me about her day and include me in her life, I'll be happy.
