Les Mis
Miss Saigon
Phantom of the Opera
Although I have seen Miss Saigon 7 times so maybe that is my favorite

Les Mis is my all time favorite, another favorite was darn, i can't remember the name, it was about a girl from out west and she comes to NYC and becomes a famous singer..lol I loved it!!

I am going with Miss Saigon also -- I was drawn into the story immediately and it never left me.
Annie Get Your Gun was another show I enjoyed immensely -- I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did so it's right up there.

Def Miss Saigon. When it was on Broadway I saw it twice. Use to have the soundtrack and to this day can sing the songs.

SO funny you al mention it because I HATE Miss Saigon. It makes my skin crawl. I also hate Les Mis.
Nothing is as bad as Cats though (although Swing did come close).
It's really hard to pick a favorite because there are so many different genres. It's like asking for a favorite movie, I could say schindler's list and I could say Snow White.
Also, unlike movies there is so much that goes into production. A different cast can amke all the difference (FH swears I hate LEs Mis because I saw it with a bad cast). A bad director vs a good director. For example, I LIKE Sweeney Todd as a musical. With John Doyle as director it was an 0rgasm.
But...let me try
Favorite Classic Musical: Show Boat (followed by Oklahoma and Guys and Dolls- all different eras, of course..)
Favorite Rock Musical: I have to say HAiR, but RENT comes close, and I also adore JCS
Favorite New Musical: Avenue Q
I also have to make special mention of A Chorus Line (although it's funny, depending on what circles you run in with theatre people, you are either outcast for liking A Chorus Line or outcast for not thinking it's the best thing on earth...I went aainst the grain at Hofstra because I freaking LOVE it).
ETA: I also want to give honorable mention to the revival of Fiddler, although I saw it with a bad cast (Fierstein and O'Donnell), the production values were incredible, and I think they did a great job with it. I just wish i could have seen it with Alfred Molina
