Re: What is your monthly mortgage payment?

Our mortgage payment is not bad at all (just about $2K with taxes and insurance), considering we put down 33% and bought back in 2000 when the prices were much more reasonable. I couldn't even fathom paying $3000+ a month!
I could have written this word for word, same here. i think we're a bit over 2K (hubby does the bills) and we thought it was expensive back then! we always say imagine if we sell, with all we've updated, but we never would

Re: What is your monthly mortgage payment?
We pay about $2600/mo. all in. I have another property for about $1500/mo.
It's just silly how much money that is. Hopefully, this will pay off in the future. All I know is when we bought our first house we were petrified.

$3100 including everything. I know it seems like a lot but it would be even more if we bought the house today.

$1365 for everything, plus we have a 2 family house and our rental income is $1300 a month. So in reality our mortgage is costs us $65 bucks a month.
Excellent! Do you have to claim the income?
Unfortunately we do because DH is a CPA and if we were ever to be audited he could lose his license for cheating on his taxes.

Re: What is your monthly mortgage payment?
We are paying 1850.00 a month. But that is with PMI, so after all the work is done this year the payment will go down to 1700.00. In reality, we could live on my dh's salary, but he has child support to pay and my salary is equal to his so I wouldnt want to try and not live on that.

I agree!! I could NOT imagine buying a house now. It's sad that you get the SAME house that others got years ago for so MUCH less.

Re: What is your monthly mortgage payment?
We are over 4K with taxes and insurance. No SAHM for me- but DH works from home and I work at a school 3 miles away with summers off and school hours so it won't be so bad.
Plus I need to add the only reason we can afford this house is we have NO debt and have both saved a ton. We are both savers, not spenders and I bought a condo years ago that was our downpayment. We have no car payments(mine was paid for in cash at the end of year sales and DH has a car through work), no school loans, no credit card debt. Our major splurges are an occasional trip and dinners out once in while. SO I think it really has to do with lifestyle- we were willing to pay to stay where we loved to live.
