What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Is yours the type that will fall asleep anywhere at all...stroller, the floor, the highchair, your arms, etc...

Or is yours like mine...has NEVER fallen asleep anywhere but his/her crib (and the car).

I'm hoping for the former for baby #2 in May Chat Icon

Or, is your baby somewhere in between?

once in a while she will fall asleep in the high chair she really only falls asleep on one of us and when we put her in the crib she wakes up about half an hour later. We created a monster and I can't complain since we did it to her.

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Kerri only sleeps in her crib or in the car, sometimes in the stroller....but thats fine with me

She has slept 7-7 since 9 weeks old, never fusses to go down and naps like a champ

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

I think now that Parker is almost 6 months she is getting better sleeping other places. At first she would only sleep in her crib, but even that took work. Now she will fall asleep in the car or on my lap. We've been taking her out a lot more and she is getting used to sleeping in the pack and play too.

I hope your 2nd is an easy baby!! Chat Icon

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Alyson is the one to only fall asleep somewhere familiar I guess.....

hardly sleeps in the car, NEVER in the stroller.

She slept in her pak n play when we travelled to NY just fine and she sleeps in her pak n play at the sitters whenever she is there

He can sleep anywhere, put himself to sleep, etc. However, no matter what time he goes to bed, he's up at 5 am! Which is fine during the week, because that's when DH and I get up. But it would be nice if he slept in a little on the weekend. Chat Icon But I can't complain. But it is annoying coming on here and seeing all these babies that snooze till 7 or 8 am!! Chat Icon

Mine is somewhere in between. But, lately has been giving me trouble going down for naps...he is teething. He is getting two more teeth in addition to his 4 already. I feel so bad for him Chat Icon

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

My first slept anywhere. Highchair, stroller, exersaucer, car seat, I mean anywhere. he was also known to fall asleep on the living room floor in the midst of a GTG at someone's house, LOL! He was tired, he slept!!!

My second one, well, she's a little princess and will ONLY sleep in her crib. Will not sleep in the stroller and will just cry bloody murder in her highchair if she's in there.

ETA: She will sleep it the carseat if its a long enough ride.

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

She will sleep NOWHERE except in her crib, my bed, my arms, or the car.

I always thought babies just fell asleep wherever when tired. I was wrong!

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Will not sleep anywhere but his crib or my arms. Occasionally, if extremely tired will fall asleep in his stroller while being rocked, or in his carseat. I truly and honestly can not fathom a child actually falling asleep sitting in their high-chair, or while playing on the floor.

He did not sleep through the night until 9 months (almost 10 months) old. BUT, now I can say he takes two good naps a day, and almost always sleeps through the night. I can just put him in his crib and he puts himself to sleep.

Jake will only sleep in his crib or car seat. We tried to so a sleep over at grandmas once, but I had to go get him at 10:00pm - he wouldn't go to sleepChat Icon

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Nikolas is half and half. He is an absolutely HORRIBLE napper, but a relatively good nighttime sleeper.. He has been making it throught the night since about 10 wks old but lately is waking up during the night (I think he's teething) around 3am.. then back down until the morning. By "morning" I mean 6am the latest. He's in his crib since 3 months old and adjusted pretty well , thank goodness.

WHERE he will sleep though is a crap shoot. *When* he blesses Mommy with a nap, it is usually when we're out in the car or he's in his stroller. He NEVER takes naps in the crib. He'll fall asleep on me if I rock him but the minute I put him down somewhere, he's up again.. And when he does nap in the car or the stroller, he immediately will wake once I stop the car and/or the stroller stops moving Chat Icon

Ella will nap wherever (arms, stroller, car seat, crib, bed, swing, etc.), but she's never fallen asleep in her highchair or playing. When its nap time, she makes sure you know.

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

She will sleep in her crib, the car or the pack n play. That's it. Not my arms, not my bed, not the couch or the swing or the floor or anywhere else. However, if she's in one of the three places she will sleep, she goes down pretty easily. I'm not too concerned.

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

It takes major work to get DS to nap or go to bed- even if you can tell he's completely exhausted. He still fights it.

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Sofia will sleep pretty much in her crib, in my arms, in our bed (in the rare occasions) and in her stroller and car seat (she has to be really tired though). Anywhere else- fuggetaboutit!

ETA- she is a good sleeper at night-goes down no problem (unless she is sick or teething) and pretty much naps during the day (about an hr to hr 1/2 2x day)

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

She sleeps everywhere, crib, carseat, stroller, on a reg bed when we are in NY, she refuses to sleep in a PNP or a travel crib though.

We are very lucky, we have a good sleeper, i just know #2 is going to be bad sleeper since we had it so easy with DD!

Re: What kind of a baby do you have, sleep wise?

Honestly? I seriously HATE the mom's who post pics of their baby falling asleep while playing, or while in the high chair Chat Icon Chat Icon Alex has NEVER just fallen asleep - it has always been a task - she'll only sleep in the car, in the stroller (sometimes, rarely) and in her crib. I was absolutely AMAZED when we took her shopping on Saturday and she fell asleep in the shopping cart Chat Icon
