Wow! What a list! They sound so yummy. I wish I had time to make more but I haven't baked any yet. I'll add some of these to my list for next year though!

I like to try different things every year but some things are standard tradition in my family.

- Pizzelles made on my Grandma's pizzelle irons from Italy

- Strufella

- Cake Balls

I LIVE for my pizzelles, I will eat them morning, noon, and night all season long. This year I am trying Cornflake-Marshmallow-Chocolate Chip Cookies from the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook.

Re: What kind of Christmas Cookies do you/your family bake

I baked Chocolate Spice Cookies for a cookie swap. Got 8 dozen other cookies in return: German Spice cookies, Snickerdoodles, Lemon Ginger Sandwiches, Shortbread cookies, Orange Chocolate bars, Pecan Crunches, Lace cookies, Pecan Snowballs.

I've made:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cream Cheese Spritz Cookies
Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies
Sugar Cookies (They got painted and decorated by DD)
Gingerbread Men

I have to make another batch of Chocolate Chip cookies, DD and DH plowed through them and they are Santa's favorite.

We've already made Sugar Cookies with royal icing, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, and oatmeal raisin cookies. We're also going to make cake truffles (though not sure what kind yet- cookie dough? Oreo? red velvet?), cupcakes, and possibly a trifle. Chat Icon

My mom made Sugar cookies that we decorated with a simple icing glaze with the kids. Just took powdered sugar and a touch of milk, kept some white and colored some red & green

She also made:
Kurabia, the Armenian version of the Mexican Wedding cookies
Simit, (pronounced seemit and not to be confused with Turkish simit, which is bread). Armenian simit is not a bread and not a cookie, but a little of each. It is not sweet, but it is a little sweet, too. LOL I pulled this description off of Tastebook
