I happenned to flip through my HS yearbook the other day and some people wrote really really nice things, and people I didn't or didn't expect to be friends with after HS, not even encessarily people I was friends with in college but who felt I had made some small difference to them or to the school's culture. It was really sweet. And someone who said he wished he could have known me better is now a really close friends, just having gotten back in touch..so that was great.

There is this little old man that comes into the bar where I work. He hadn't been around in over a year and I was kinda curious as to what had happened to him. A few months ago, he showed back up. I remembered his drink and then a while later went up to sing a set. When he left he handed me a note. It was talking about how he appreciated that I remembered him and how much I had grown vocally in the past few years. He said that my voice was a gift that he was glad I decided to share with the world. I thought it was so sweet and I keep it in my wallet to read when I get depressed about my career.
awww..that sounds so sweet. I'd think he was a guardian angel telling you not to give up on your gift and pursue it even more.

This was a long time ago but it really did great things for my ego-
I went to college in AZ-I took a creative writing class one year that had about 25 people in it. The teacher asked everyone to write a descriptive paragraph about someone in the class. Well nearly everyone wrote about me! nice things too. I'm sure it was just because I was different-A New Yawkah, but it was still nice.
