Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
I don't know why, but this bothers me and it skeeves me out and I just don't know why. DH says I should let Chiquito sleep on our bed but I don't like it. What do you guys do?

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
I never in a million years thought I would ever have a dog. Then - I never in a million years thought I would let the dog sleep on my bed. I do both. I don't mind it. Molly is pretty small so she doesn't take up that much room.
She won't sleep with us every night - but sometimes she will.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
Lola will start out sleeping on her own either in her own bed in my room or in the computer room. Then at around 6-7 am she will come to my side of the bed to be picked up into our bed.
This is honestly my favorite time of the day!!! She will cuddle with me and then my Dh for a few minutes and then go right back to sleep until I get up.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
I love when Barney sleeps with us. He is 90 lbs though, so I usually kick him off when I really need to get comfortable to sleep. However, my DH leaves early in the morning for work, and Barney waits in anticipation of this move, so he can come up and cuddle with me. It's a PAIN with all the hair, but at the same time I just LOOOVE him so much. A Giant snugglebug!

Almost the exact same thing with us.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
Our cats, yes, but Fergus, no. Mainly because he is small and frail and he cannot get down from the bed by himself.
I don't know how I'd feel if it was a real issue for us but it's a queen bed anyway and sometimes I feel like it's barely big enough for the two of us.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
Katlyn is used to sleeping in bed with her previous owners... I'll let her up after DH leaves (he doesn't want her in bed) but I have a feeling we're going to cave.
She spends like 10 minutes pacing around the bed trying to jump up, and then just finds a pillow close to us and sleeps.
DH is afraid that he's going to roll over and squish her.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
We don't have much of a choice. Usually it's only one cat - but the other morning I woke up with one cat nibbling at my fingers to pet her, and the other one like a log on my feet It only bothers me when Gunnar decides to bite me while I'm sleeping.

Yes I do. It has actually gotten to the point where I need him to be there to fall asleep.

Yes we let Sandy sleep with us. I was grossed out by it in the beginning but now I am kinda OK with it. There are nights when I wish she was sleeping in her crate again but my DH wont here of it.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
I love having Casey and Tally in the bed!
When we first got Tally though my allergies acted up so we stopped it for a while. Now that I am preggers we are not allowing it because I am a little more cautious of all the dirt they are bringing in from the back yard.
But I miss cuddling them in bed!

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
When I lived with my mom and had a twin bed, Gizmo would sleep with me. Ever since we moved into our house and got the King Sized bed, he can no longer jump high enough to get on, and I am nervous about picking him up because I don't want him jumping off such a high bed, so Gizmo now sleeps in his own bed. But for the first 12 years he slept with me

My cat Shadow was never much of a sleep in bed with me cat. She does on rare occassions, and usually it's next to my pillow on my side of the bed when she does.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
Austin sleeps with me every night. Sometimes I just wanna push him off b/c he HAS to sleep accross the whole bed. I end up with my legs all curled up in a ball.
I like having him sleep with me. It makes me sleep easier.

He hangs out in bed but usually when we shut off the lights/tv he jumps down to his bed.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
I would love to, but I can't. I am allergic to cats but take Clarinex every day (and am supposed to have allergy shots). I've woken up in an asthma attack when I let Mac sleep with me. So he has to sleep outside the bedroom.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
well, she's found a way to jump into the bed.... just has to take about a 20 foot running start
After all of her effort I just couldn't kick her out

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
I've had several dogs for most of my life. Never on the couches or on the beds. We come down to them. I've always had big dogs. Also, makes cleaning a bit easier.
DH had a cat before I met him. Now that we live in a two story house she's not allowed upstairs. I was afraid that when we have kids she will be too curious in the baby's room. We keep all of the upstairs' doors closed when we are not home.

Re: Do You Let Your Pet Sleep on Your Bed?
Our cats do...it's too late to break them of the habit, plus we kinda like them there. I just hate the cat hair...I won't let them sleep under the covers and I am always vacuuming the bed.
Casey does not sleep with us, she is way too big and she is not even allowed upstairs!
