New Construction Houses...Where?
We're planning to start looking next Spring & are trying to get ideas. Can anyone suggest places w/ new construction homes that aren't ridiculously priced?
Even condos or townhouses....thanks so much

Re: New Construction Houses...Where?
Most of the new construction is happening on jericho in nassau or eastern suffolk. I think no matter what new construction is always expensive.

OnHawkins Rd. they have model homes. They start at around 399k I think. Also, in Manorville they have new construction. We checked the model home out..it was absolutely gorgeous! The houses there started at 650 though.

Re: New Construction Houses...Where?
It's not just the price of the construction what really hurts over the long terms are the new contrucution taxes.
There are similar houses to mine in my neighborhood and the new construction taxes on them, for the same amount of land is about double... 18-20K

Re: New Construction Houses...Where?
we bought a new construction home with an acre of land the taxes should only be around 10k, that's not bad right? my parents pay over 8k just in nassau and their property is 100x100

Re: New Construction Houses...Where?
I've seen quite a few new construction homes on MLS - just search the town where you want to live and they will show up in the results with the other homes. I was looking in Babylon and West Islip and saw quite a few. There's also a development of them right by my house but they are $750k and up!!!

I live in West Islip and I know they just built two new homes off of hunter ave on the boarder of North Babylon but it is a very nice area and it is West Islip schools and mailing address.

I've seen them! They are like 4 blocks from where I live! Beautiful houses, but very small yards. It was originally a site for one house, but it was split into two lots.

They already do - in Nassau - there are places right on the service road in Manhasset/North Hills and the Hamlet in Plainview is right on the LIE service road. While they all look very nice - I still wouldnt want to live on the service road.
