Re: Feeling a little iffy....
And lets play "DjPiLL's advocate" once again.
How do you know.... FOR SURE... that the 5th brother really is holding out for listing? Because thats what the seller's RE said?
I would take ANYTHING a listing agent says with a grain of salt.
For all you know... the 5th brother may have been PERFECTLY FINE with their original counter of 15k... but the listing agent purposely said one guy was not happy with it to see if you would "bite" on their offer.
Since you took it... now they are going to see if they can reel you in for some more.
Something to think about.

Chris....i don't thik ANY offer was "accepted" here They didn't go back on an accepted price...
This story is like combined into 3 or 4 separate threads. I have been following it from the start of thread one.
Red is right.... there was no accepted offer at any point.

wow, perhaps I should write a soap opera about my experiences with this house... didn't think it can conjure up so much drama!
if you must know, the brother who lived at the house called my agent and told her the story before their agent called my agent, so this is not just from their agent...
if they came back saying they want $450k for the house and we agreed, I take that as a verbal agreement... wouldn't that be the case if it's the other way around?? so is it ok for me to agree on 450k then 3 days later tell the sellers that I rather just pay $440k?
if only everything in life is so simple as black and white and no emotions is involved, everybody would be happy... we like the house and willing to pay $450k for it, but not a penny over, there are still 3 days left on the clock, so we'll see what happens...
and don't worry Rich, we are still looking, we never stopped looking even after we put in our original offer.
thanks for all the reading everyone!

Ok, as long as you don't think I was calling you or any other sellers on this forum greedy! As everybody's case is very different. I sincerely with you best of luck with your selling and buying ... it shouldn't be this hard, I just want to have a place to call HOME again.....
