this doesn't make sense though. this house is HUGE and absolutely beautiful!! combine that with the area it's in, and iI can totally understand the $1.3M price.
some houses though make NO sense. $600K-$800K for a regular cape, ranch or spilit.

I could see this house selling for $1.M- I have seen less in Nassua listed for that

Oh, how did my "guest house" get up there?...LOL.
The $1 million dollar house is not as rare as it used to be. My FIL is a kitchen contractor and over 80% of his business are for such houses.
And for the poster who was worrying about the cleaning? The person sho buys that house is not cleaning their own toilets

It's beautiful..I've got to keep some of the decorating ideas in mind.

Nice house.
My parents' neighbors are selling their house, listed for approx $1.2M, and I don't think it's nearly as nice as that. It's also on a pretty small lot. It's amazing how expensive it is to live on LI.

The taxes for that house are actually right on target. A family member pays $24,000 in taxes for a much smaller house in Nassau and it's not on the water.
And I am not trying to say that the taxes are cheap
Its ridiculous that 1 mil or more is becoming more and more common
