The death of Dana Reeve has literally made me angry!
Has the death of Dana Reeve literally made anyone angry?
I hate to say it but ever since I heard this awful news today, I just want to question anyone "up there."
It makes me angry to know that something like this can happen after having been through so much..and her poor son. I just dont get it and I wish I could get the answers.
I am literally angry.

Yes and it hits home, too. I have never understood how someone who never smoked and never tolerated smoking dies from it. Their poor son  But I'm sure that she fought just like her husband did for every minute and it was a life that meant something.

I guess I am trying to say that I am a little angry with God...how bad is that?? I just dont understand why he does certain things. Makes me wonder, what the point is ya know? I hope I dont get punished for voicing this.

For me...i don't believe God does this. I don't think God does bad things...
Bad things happen, yes. But for me i look at it as a part of life.
I heard once that people will say "God, why did you do this/ let this happen"
But rarely, when the really good things happen, do they say "God, why did you do this?"
But this is just how i look at things...But don't get me wrong...i see what you are saying and understand. And i don't think God punishes for questioning, for having reactions....it is pretty normal IMO

Don't think God's going to punish you because you feel angry. It's a natural reaction someone might have.
I believe things, whether good or horrific, happen for a reason. Her death is touching so many people and one effect that it is having is people are realizing that they need to appreciate their loved ones and not take them for granted.
Because of her death, it also reminded me and I promise I won't forget, that life is way too short to spend obsessing over the little petty things. Live your life with joy, and spend it with loved ones.

She did smoke for years...supposedly a heavy smoker too.

see i heard she didnt smoke which is even more upsetting to hear....

All day long I they have focused on the fact that she never smoked.
They said she worked in cabaret bars where second hand smoke was unavoidable. I didnt hear at all that she was ever a smoker?

They said on the news this morning she used to smoke, but Maybe not, I can't find anything on line so maybe I am wrong, but they said it on TV this morning.

Yes this is what I heard even when she was diagnosed. It was really from years of breathing in second-hand smoke.
There is a good percentage of lung cancer deaths attributed to second hand smoke.

It does seem so unfair that some people just get walloped for no good reason. A former supervisor of mine has been through so much with 2 of her kids (one born severely disabled, another had to have an emergency liver transplant) then she lost her husband last month (he was in his early 40s). It's a reminder to me not to whine about stupid things.

i know....!
My aunt smoked when she was 18 years old..
Stopped. Hadn't smoke in decades
Last year died of lung cancer...
I don't think cigarette smoke is the only way you get lung cancer...
Actually some feel that the toxins in stables is very hazardous (at least that is what someone told me when my aunt was sick) My aunt was a BIG rider. Had her own horse.
I believe they were big horse people too

OMG i was so busy all day that this is the first I'm hearing of this. I am SO saddened by this. That poor child Lately, every where I turn someone is dying from lung cancer and it breaks my heart. Two of my best friends lost their fathers to this within the past 6 mos (after only being diagnosed within less than a year) and my mother's friend who is not doing well with it

I was so heartbroken when I read that this morning. At it also breaks my heart how my BIL and SIL put their two young children at risk because they have to chain smoke in the house
It also goes to show you that no amount of wealth, celebrity, or connections can prevent things like this

Yeah.. I feel the same way. I think she died from an infection caused by the chemotherapy.
She was what a woman should be. Strong,
independent and a true believer.

I have learned alot in the last week with my dad's passing.
From my mom: a long time ago a priest said at her step-father's funeral that you have to imagine going into your garden. Do you pick the wilted flowers? No, you pick the best ones and that is what God does.
From the priest: everyone dies and the body is only there to house the soul and there is a time for everyone when the body can not go on anymore.
I really feel like my dad was picked to do something special for God and I am sure he did the same for Dana. We all have to die and it just depends on when God thinks it is time. We won't know why or when until it happens and I am sure we will all understand then.
