UPDATED after doctor's visit...I've just about had it!

I am 32 weeks today and have been back to work for a week. I am so uncomfortable it is unreal! My Chat Icon has her hiny up against my kidney which is causing so much pain and my Chat Icon has his head on my spine, so my lower back and sciatic nerve are throbbing. My feet are soooo swollen, it feels like my skin is going to tear and since both of their heads are down, I pee every 20 minutes!

I don't sleep well at night and by the time I do fall asleep, I wake up to go the the bathroom!

I have a DR appointment today and will be complaining to him as wellChat Icon I am sorry for the long vent and negative post, I just think it may be time to stop working and stay home at this point.

Thanks for letting me vent~Chat Icon

UPDATE: My doctor could not believe I was still working at 32 weeks! He insisted I stop working as of today. When I asked if I could finish out the week, he said no. He was concerned that if I did, I could go into premature labor and he doesn't want that. So much for going full term...he told me he'd be surprised if I made it to 36 weeks! That was a real shocker!!! Now I really have to get my **** together!!!

I wanted to send Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to all of you for your support. You ladies are so thoughtful and caring! I LOVE the support here and look forward to coming back every day!

Thanks again...all of you!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oh Stacey - I am soooo sorry you are feeling this way.
Do you think that your doctor will tell you he wants you to stay home?

Thanks for love ladies...I don't know what my doctor will say. I have one who poo poos everything and says, it's normal and the other who is more of an alarmist. I just feel guilty leaving work this early in the year knowing I have until Nov. 7th -- doc says he thinks I will go full term. That was a month ago...I wonder if things change today.

I work in a school. I am the math specialist, so I pull small groups of children for remediation, and enrichment. I also train teachers and model lessons for them in their classrooms. I doubt they will allow me to cut out one day. I think in school, it is all or nothing.

Oh i totally feel for you. As you know the last few weeks of my pregnancy were brutal,. I thought i could work till 35 weeks, but only made it till 33. The pressure was unbearable down there for me. Please take care of yourself. The best thing is to lay down and do nothing. The babies need another 3-4 weeks in you.

And i know all about the peeing situation. That part sucks!!!

Hang in there...once they are here you will totally forget all about it. Chat Icon

Re: I've just about had it!

See what your Dr says first, but you may find that you just can't work any more- and that's ok too. I know you wanted to stick it out a while longer, but if you're that uncomfortable, then you should start your maternity leave earlier than planned.

Teaching is a very physically demanding job. I teach in a high school, am only 9.5 weeks and my OB wanted me off of the packed lunch duty I was given with 200 kids in a small cafeteria that was about 15 degrees warmer than the rest of the school so now I'm in the library.

I can't imagine how you are getting through the day w/o collapsingChat Icon And yes,for those that don't teach it is all or nothing. I've had a few colleagues that had to leave early and go on bedrest/disability.

Don't feel one bit guilty about leaving if you have to. I've been teaching 13 years and learned a long time ago that no one gives you a medal for being a hero. If you need to be out, you need to be out... your comfort and the babies are the most important thing. Everyone else will just have to deal with it and they will.Chat Icon

Don't worry. In a few weeks your babies will be here and you won't even remember about this.
