Question of the day spin off
I want to express that I am 100% curious , and not at all being sarcastic in my question, just to be clear that Im not singling anyone out or anything like that...so dont be offended, Im NOT judging, I would never do that.
But...I wonder when people answer things like fear of going bankrupt or fear of not having money ...those finacial type fears...Do you really fear that more then say losing your husband or mother or family, or not living each day to its fulliest?
Or same goes for like drowning, suffocating..those fears...do people really truly have that as their biggest fear in life?
I do not have an opinion either way, everyone is different...But I wonder if thats just a fear you live with like most of us do and it affects you more, or is truly your "Greatest" fear in life?

Re: Question of the day spin off
b/c losing all your money, house, job etc is a legimiate fear. it can happen quickly w/o a person even realizing it. how can that be a "bad" fear?

Its not a bad fear. Its true and honest, like I said I was questioning a different aspect of it..not saying it was wrong AT ALL

Re: Question of the day spin off
I think that fearing the death of loved ones is an OBVIOUS.... And ultimately would be a repetitive answer over and over
So i am putting another..
I think ASIDE from losing a loved one....Living in fear of not havng money to provide for myself and for the people i love....is #2.
Just couldn't live my life in that kind of fear and stress

Thank you...thats 100% was what I was wondering, is the 1st fear just a "given" and then for example ..you...were listing your second fear.
I always wonder about peoples answers like, the suffocating one, are people afraid of death or just not being able to breath? Ya know?

Re: Question of the day spin off
I think my #1 fear is dying. And my family and loved ones dying.
I dont think Im worried about money or losing ir or losing my house because I know that our families would always take care of us.
ETA: read the post wrong. I think some people dont like to think about death and dying...so aside from that then their fears are losing $ or a home or something else.

Re: Question of the day spin off
Actually if i re-read your post... I certainly fear poverty or living day to day wondering where money will come from MUCH MORE than "not living each day to its fullest...
I just saw that part of the post...

Re: Question of the day spin off
Let's see if I can phrase this correctly:
When we answer that question, we may not be giving our ACTUAL biggest fear, but a fear that we think about now and then and one that REALLY makes us worry. Like- as I read other people's responses, I started to think "yeah, that IS pretty scary"...so it could be that we DO have bigger fears, but they just aren't in the front of our minds...

that is what I was thinking....
Like I almost typed Spiders...LOL....Then realized, no that wasnt my greatest fear ya know.
Not sure how my words got misconstrued by some, I spelled it out clearly...thanks for your honest reply.

Wow...really? That interestes me. I know a lot of people who feel similiar...My aunt for example would probably say fear of not having material things, and money was so great she would suffer anything else.
Sometimes I think people dont even know what their greatest fear is till it happens too....
I read in school that almost everyone falls into these categories of greatest fears, I guess I was wondering if that were true. And whats true about your fears is I think it was like # 5 and was higher then say Fear of death in general...so Its a very common fear.

Re: Question of the day spin off
So were you thinking to yourself....
WHY did i not answer the question as fearing losing a loved one?
Cause you said "Not understanding or fufilling my true purpose on earth"

No..that is my biggest fear. But I did have to think about it, because like many, Losing someone, Spiders, etc came to mind first.
I guess I answered my question right there...Sometimes peoples first answers are not the truest, just what seems to be on the forefront of the mind.
Im surprised I answered as I did, but once I thought about it, it is my own biggest fear.

i was talking TO donna about her own answer
Thought it was strange that she didn't understand why people said (in particular) why people put financial insecurity as a response to their biggest fear...instead of losing a family member.
YET she herself didn't answer it they way she thought it should have been.
Just seemed ODD to me.
