DH used to work at Maryhaven with a lot of kids with autism - he was bit once and scratched a few times also - crazy!
I hope Rich is okay!
I guess he's just a little shocked that such a small being could willingly do so much damage.
and say such a thing. I hope he is okay, human bites are worse than animal bites as far as infections.

I told John and he started laughing... he said he could because we deal with this all day long too! John feels "the kid could have asked first but hey, people pay good money for that kind of stuff!"

Unfortunately, this happens with children who have language delays and have difficulty expressing themselves. I have worked with this population before and have been on the receiving end of bites, smacks, kicks and chairs aimed at my head. However, if skin was broken by a child's mouth, Id be freaked out. Privacy of our clients does not allow us to know what they could transmit. I was encouraged to and reimbursed for my Hepatitis shots co-payents years ago. Wonder why
I hope he is ok and stays with what he does.
