I remember this. Every time someone mentioned "baby Jessica", I'd yell at them and say
"I'm not a baby. I'm 4 years old".
For some reason at that age i didn't realize that other people could have the same name.
Boy was I shocked my first day of school having 3 other Jessica's in my class alone.

You have to remember her parents were only 18 at the time and they weren't exactly "well-off" This is a story that had people, not only in the US, but in Italy and England, and everywhere else glued to their TV's ... people sent money from everywhere for "baby Jessica". Her parents put it in a trust fund over the past 18 years and it has grown to over $1 million now ...

Wow. That was pretty responsible of the parents. A lot of people would have used that money up right away.
Poor girl must still get hounded about the incident and she probably doesn't remember it at all. (I'm inferring that from the "no cameras, no video" piece of the article.)
I hope she finds happiness with him!
