Anyone have a tip on how to clean lamp shades. I try to dust mine, but is there a correct way to clean them??
One tip said to use a lint roller on them.

I have only two.....but its to prevent Mosquitos from biting you:
Eat Bananas and/or Put a dryer sheet in your pocket (shirt or pants)
They apparantly steer clear of you.

cook vinegar in the microwave for approx 30-45 sec...the whole microwave comes clean
I don't understand how this works. How much do you cook? You just heat it up and voila!? No wiping or scrubbing??

Re: Your Best Tips and Tricks For the Home!!
Saw this as a tip on Queer Eye and I HAD to test it out:
If you hands are smelly from preparing food (onions, garlic, fish, etc) - wash them, then rub them on STAINLESS STEEL, like the inside of the sink...for some reason, it WORKS!!!

Re: Your Best Tips and Tricks For the Home!!
I recently discovered that if I spray air freshener in the return of my CAC it instantly blows out of the rest of the vents in every room.
(The return is that vent that su cks the air in, not out)

Re: Your Best Tips and Tricks For the Home!!
I have one! To get out nailpolish from the carpet (yet, I do my home pedicures on the floor) use windex. Just spray some on and rub with a paper towel in a circular motion.

Re: Your Best Tips and Tricks For the Home!!
Not sure if it's on here but White Wine gets out Red Wine.
I always buy a cheap bottle of white when I buy Red just in case.
X-Mas at my G-Mas last year my cousin spilled an entire lg. glass of red wine onto her white/ivory (brand new) carpet and it splashed all over her white couch. I grabbed my moms bottle of white wine and poured it all over the spill. It reverses the color somehow and we just soaked it up! Grandma never even knew!

Re: Your Best Tips and Tricks For the Home!!
Some cute one's...
If you are looking for a cute look in the bathroom use colored ribbon instead of shower curtain hooks on your shower curtain
Organize drawers with ice cube trays (you can put lots of stuff in them: jewelry, nails, pins, etc...)
