What was the hardest part about buying a house?

Hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait.
Hurry make the offer, Wait for the acceptance.
Hurry up get the inspector in, sign the contracts, wait 2 weeks for the seller to sign.
Hurry get the mortgage done, Wait Wait Wait for the survey.
Hurry, Hurry set the closing date, wait wait wait for the Final amount of certified checks you should bring (we found out 1 hour before).

A silly one, but I hate to call people, and I had to get on the phone and arrange the inspector, the lawyer, the mortgage, different people about homeowners ins. DH hates it more than I do- again, it's very silly but I always worry that I will sound like a moron. But I was very lucky- everyone we dealt with was very easy to talk to.
At the end, getting the closing date solidified was a pain- I think the bank inspection held us up, and then our rate expired by a couple days. Luckily the bank extended it, which I was glad about, since they were the ones who held us up.
I was also anxious about the amount of paperwork the whole process would generate- I am VERY disorganized but in the end I did fine.

Dealing with my jacka$$ attorneys. We think we just lost our buyer because of all of this... meanwhile both the seller of our new house and us are ready to close. I get free legal service from my union and the lawyer and paralegal are obnoxious. Now that our buyer has fallen through we will be using another law firm for the next bidder
Sorry for the vent but we thought we were ok and now we are sooooo not!
