i am not defensive on that house in particular
or even YOUR thread per say...
But i just do not get why people post pics of houses and comments on houses are "terrible".
Yes we all got our own style and all...
But i guess as someone who is looking to buy a home it gets frustrating to see
And i think how ****** i would be if someone posted a pic of a house i was looking to buy saying
"OMG can you believe they have the nerve....etc etc" comments

I uderstand - DH and I are looking too - always looking, which is how I found that house in the first place. I was just blown away that someone would publish that oicture online - it seems like such a deterrant to me.

I know people who are specifically looking for sh*tholes because they are super handy and want to fix it up from top to bottom the way they want. I do think that when trying to sell your home you should try to make the best impression possible but some people honestly just don't care. And - what is clean/beautiful for one person is totally different for another.

it looks to me like the house is vacant & its been my experience that the RE takes the photos so its possible the owner may not know that pic is up or maybe they don't care because they know its a fixer.
I think many people spew nasty crap all over this board on the regular....and I've never seen many apologies & that goes way back to LIW circa 2001. This is the way it is, as the saying goes "opinions are like ......"
its funny the people that try to come off as sensitive to others feelings though.

I actually felt sad when I saw this because I thought possibly it had been an elderly person who couldn't care for their pet, passed away, and now the home is being sold. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt though and perhaps there are just slobs out there.

Agree, when we were looking we said we want to see the biggest piece of crap that you have. And we arent spending over $400k. So I dont care who put a new bathroom in
I doint think people should get offended..

I agree with you. I think we can agree to disagree on certain peoples' tastes but I most certainly feel that certain things should be kept to ourselves.

People are trying to sell this house. The other pics were fine, but this one was disgusting. It should notr have been posted if they were trying NOT to gross people out.
This floor should have been cleaned and repaired or removed - this is unsanitary and is breeding GOD knows what kind of bacteria. It's GROSS.
I'm not making fun of anyones house - there i s nothing to make fun of - this is just plain disgusting.
If someone sees my post about how gross it is and this is their house and they are offended, they still know its completely gross!!!
ETA: If you live like this - you need to rethink the way you are living. If you dont want people to call your house gross then either clean it or dont post it online for all of the Internet to see.
Im not trying to sound unfeeling or cold but c'mon.
ITA. The picture of those floors was disgusting!

The floors are disgusting, but someone will get a deal if they have any kind of haggling way about them. When I bought my house it was a mess. Sure the pictures looked ok, the Peach walls the 30 year old carpet in most rooms. The paneling in the den. Which was all capped off with both showers raining down on the den and garage on day one. Oh, it getts better the old termite damage in the half bath. But, if you look at what we started with and where we are now........ who is laughing now.

I know there are some LIW girls that saw my house when we were buying. It was gross, but we got a good price for it and its not gross no more 
I just cant believe people take pics of a house and expect to sell it when they obviously dont take care of it.
