Motherless Mother's Days
I know there are a lot of you on this board and everytime I read "I lost my mom to cancer" or "my mom died when I was young", I literally hold my breath at the thought of it.
I just wanted to say that I can't imagine how hard Mother's Day would be without my mom. This Mother's Day I will give my mom an extra hug because of you. I cherish my mom & she knows it.
I'm sure that your moms are smiling down on you - and without a doubt know that they are thought about and loved by each and every one of you.

That was wonderful. My mom passed away almost 2 months ago and it still hurts everyday. I know Mother's Day is going to be really hard for me but I know that there are other people on here that are in the same situation.

Thank you! My mom has been gone 10 years and I still teared up a bit while I was reading your post.
I am on the verge of finishing a graduate degree and while it is exciting, these events are always a little bittersweet, knowing that neither of my parents are here to share in them. It's hard to believe how many things have happened in the last decade that she has not been a part of. It gets easier, but Mother's day is still a tough day for me.

Thanks...although my mom hasn't passed she isn't a part of my life by her choice and with my daughter being here this year, it's hitting me harder than I thought...

What a beautiful post!
As some of you know my Mother passes away when I was 7 from Breast Cancer,she was only 28
I long for her loving touch everyday and hold on to whatever memory I have of her!
My Life has many Voids as a result of her Death and I am always looking to fill them!
It is a Lifelong Struggle for me!

This means so much to me. Thank you very much.
We are spending Mothers day fishing .... DH just lost his Mom 5 months ago, and it is going to be especailly hard on him this year. Every day your Mom should be honored not just Mother's day. We are going fishing becuase we figured there will not be a bunch of happy smiling Mom's on a fishing boat, if it rains it is the movies. My Mom passed 12 years ago.

Thank you for your thoughts. This will be the first mother's day without my mom and I'm honestly scared. It's just so hard. every minute is a struggle.

Would anyone who has lost their moms be interested in meeting and talking sometime? It's hard to find other girls in this situation who truly understand. I'm not a frequent poster but I would like to become more involved in these boards.

Never take your parents (or anyone for that matter) for granted because they can be gone in an instant!
