I had both. Stitches on the inside (ones that dissolve) and staples on the outside.

I had both as well. The staples were removed on the day I was discharged. My scar is barely visable now a little over a year later.

I had staples and honestly, I was looking at my scar the other day, it's not that bad at all. It's a small white line but not very noticable. My DH said he doesn't notice it at all.

exactly the same for me.Chat Icon

I had glue. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but that's what my OB told me. After 18 months you have to look VERY hard for the scar. although my tummy isn't exactly flat that I have to worry about people seeing it ;)

I had dissolvable stitches as well, and you can still see the scar. I don't worry about it though since it is in the bikini line! Well, that is if I were able to fit into one. I could but it wouldn't be a pretty sight! Chat Icon

I had staples, and the line is fading more than my stretch marks... I think it's different because since I'm caramel-colored, the stretch marks were darker than the incision.

I have the thin red line but I had staples - but only had them in for about 4 days and they took them out before I went home.

I had disolvable stitches. I would not let them staple me. Just the thought of removing the staples makes me ill. I have a visable scar but it's not too bad.
