I don't know much about her as she passed away when he was 9. But he tells me that I am a lot like her. How much does a 9 year old remember, I don't know, but to me it actually means a lot.

On a different note I see a lot of qualities in DH that remind me of my dad.

Absolutely opposite for us.
What's funny is that I have a male cousin who married a woman who is VERY similiar to my MIL. I was teasing DH and said " I bet your mother goes to bed at night and asks God why you had to marry me instead of Martha"
DH said "because then I would have shot myself"

Somewhat. We have the same sense of humor and a lot of the same mannerisms. She's more of a people-person and much more opinionated than I am though. She tells it like it is while I keep to myself.

I dont think I could ever live up to DH's mom, I don't know how she does it but she amazes me every time we are together with her talents of sewing, cooking, getting so much done in one day....
