All Moms-to-be Check in!

Just wondering how everyone is!

I had my bi-monthly OB appt. yesterday. I'm 33 weeks 3 days and still measuring ahead at 37 weeks 3 days Chat Icon

I have my sono on 4/5 and next OB appt. on 4/10 to discuss the sono results and possible early induction if the baby is too big.

My ribs are spreading to allow room for the baby - to the point that it hurts to touch them! My little Chat Icon is getting big and strong and soooo active and she hurts me when she kicks much of the time now. Chat Icon

I feel sick to my stomach most mornings but a glass of Coke usually settles my stomach. Oh and I 'm addicted to Dr. Pepper - and I don't even LIKE soda!!! Chat Icon

Oh yeah - I feel like 90% of my diet is made up of TUMS!! This little Chat Icon and all the hair on her head are giving me a lotttt of heartburn!

Re: All Moms-to-be Check in!

Hi all!

I am 17 weeks now. Went for an appointment the other night. All looks good! She did a sonogram and the baby was waving at us! It was the first time my mom came with me and she started to cry when she saw him/her. Although my dh doesnt want to find out the sex and I do, the baby had its legs crossed anyway, so it wasnt even a question. LOL

I have to schedule my level 2 sonogram which I am excited and nervous about. I feel very good, very little complaints here. Some days I totally forget I am pregnant at all. I have NO cravings at all and I dont really eat much more than I used to. I only gained 3 pounds in a month which my doctor was very happy about so I hope to stay on this track.

Some days I just feel sore and I am still tired from time to time. I am starting to look at baby furniture but have to do so much in the house first that its overwhelming at times.

Cant wait to make the next update. Hugs to all! Chat Icon

Doing well...
I start my 30th week today Chat Icon
I had my last dr. appointment on Monday and the baby is measuring very well. Doc. said he is about 3lbs and about 15 inches. Chat Icon
I feel him moving SOO much now. It's so funny to see my shomach move now too.
In the past month I've only gained 3lbs so I'm very happy about that.
I just signed up for our child-care and lamaze class- so I'm looking forward to it... even if I learn just one thing, I'll feel good about it!

My back has been just absolutely awful (from an old injury) so I keep going to the chiro. every week and that helps a bit, but it's very frustrating that I can't do much. I can barely walkChat Icon

And for some reason I'm completely addicted to chicken salad... I could eat it every day!

Hope the rest of you are doing well! Chat Icon

Re: All Moms-to-be Check in!

Hey Ladies!
At 32 weeks I am getting uncomfortable...especally when I lay down to go to sleep. Sometimes I have ligament pain that is more painful than it was in the first tri for sure.
I go for my sono in two weeks on 4/4. I am excited about that! I asked the doctor when we can schedule an induction and he told me we would know after my first internal which will be on 4/18 (at 36 weeks). I am hoping we can set a date at 38 or 39 weeks so everyone can book flights and DH does not have to drive 100 miles an hour on the thruway just to get me to Manhasset. Chat Icon
We have decided to have DH's sister from Hawaii be our doula after all. We discussed it with her when she was here for my shower and we are all on the same page. We need to set a date so she can book her flight. Also, my dad is coming in from Florida and he needs to book his flight.
Gracie is so active and I can't wait to meet her! Chat Icon

I'm 36 weeks and I have an appointment tonight. I feel pretty good, but my shoulders are killing me from sleeping on my sides- so I am back to sleeping on my back. My hands and legs are swollen and I was so shocked today while in shaving in shower I actually had my ankles back.

We will have a sonogram tonight to see what position the baby is in. I can't believe I am thisclose!! We are going to get my neice's stuff out of storage and on Friday I am going to pick up the essentials for the baby's homecoming. We did our first lamaze class last Saturday and finish up this Saturday. I took a breastfeeding class on Monday.

I'm 29 weeks today. Had an appt with my OB last night, and she said she can't believe how fast my pregnancy has gone by. I start my 2 week appts now, which is really beginning to make this feel real.

Baby's been kicking like crazy, but I love it. I've been getting all the normal pains (groin, back, calf, you name it) but otherwise feeling ok. Just exhausted!

And MrsJ, I'm drinking my Dr. Pepper right now Chat Icon Love it!!!

I am 31 weeks and so far everything is going well. I see my doctor bi-weekly now and so far everything looks great. My knees have been hurting when I go up and down the stairs. As the weeks go by it is getting more difficult and I can't even sleep anymore. I wish my due date was already here.

I'm 30 weeks, have a doctor's appointment tonight. I hate doctor's appointments in general. Never did like going but I know I have to.

I'm feeling fine. Just the occasional heartburn, so annoying! But then again I've gotten it even before the pregnancy. Lately i've been dreading going up stairs...LOL Every time I go to a place that has stairs I always say "when are the escalators being installed"...Don't even get me started on the started on the subway stairs...LOL

I am not as far along as the rest of you, I am 6 weeks today.

I no longer have a waist and my buttons are about to pop. -- I am so jealous of the MTB that said they wore their pre-pg clothes until like 20 weeks and stuff. I can't even wear them now Chat Icon

I can't stop yawning and haven't BD'd in almost two weeks, because I am too tired Chat Icon

I can't smell or look at most foods.

Other than that, I am great Chat Icon

Hey everyone. I'm also not as far along as many of you, but thought I'd post anyway. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and feeling pretty good. I've been lucky enough to have no morning sickness. I was really tired and beyond moody for a while, but I'm starting to feel like myself again. I'm staying up later and haven't broken down and cried all week. Chat Icon I still haven't gained any weight, but my pants are definitely getting pretty snug, my boobs have gone up a cup size and I'm looking a bit rounder.

I'm 32 weeks, 2 days. Feel great, look huge Chat Icon

No complaints, most of my time is spent trying to get the house ready for #2.

Baby girl is still breech, at my 34 week appointment on April 5th, we will most likely be scheduleing for a repeat c/s, although I still am holding on that she'll turn and I can VBAC.

Send turn vibes!!

Re: All Moms-to-be Check in!

Hi All!!

I am 30 1/2 weeks.
I must say I really can't complain about anything with my pregnancy. I just get a little uncomfortable at night sitting on the couch. I am finally able to sleep at night, with the occasional get up to go to the bathroom, but luckily, I go right back to sleep Chat Icon Chat Icon
I go to the doctor for an appt tonight, the first of my every 2 week appts. I am just afraid to get on the scale.
We are waiting to get a rug put in, so we can start getting the nursery together - I had my shower 2 1/2 weeks ago -so we pretty much have everything - we just need to organize where things will go.
I think that is about it Chat Icon

Oh yeah - We have Lamaze set up for April 8 - from 10-3 then a tour of the hospital. I can't wait - very excited.

Re: All Moms-to-be Check in!

Hi everybody,

I'm just about 35 weeks. Went to the doc yesterday and had a sono. Everything looked good. The baby is 6 pounds already!!

I have been making alot more trips to the bathroom lately, and sleeping has become a chore. I've been having alot of pressure down below and pain in both sides of my groin. The doctor said that is good -- that my pelvis has started spreading to allow the baby to come through. Next week he will do an internal exam and determine if my pelvis will be big enough for the baby to fit. He said because I'm short (barely 5 feet) and my baby is "not that little" we'll have to see if it will fit.

We go for Lamaze/Chilbirth class this weekend and hopefully I can find a breastfeeding class to attend. Other than that, I'm just trying to get everything organized in the baby's room and I have to start packing my bag for the hospital.

Yep!! I've been measuring ahead for the last month and a half.

My cousin measured ahead too and had her baby a month early!! So, I'm going to have another level II sono done to see how big she is and we'll go from there. We might be inducing early - I'm not that big either..I'm just under 5'2" and I'm not about to have a 10 lb baby! LOL I really wouldnt mind having her soon either.

dumb question...
How did they know you were measuring ahead? Was this determined at your 32 week sono? I spoke to my doctor about this and he said they have to see if my cervix is thinned out in order to induce me. They would know this after my internal at 36 weeks. i am so confused because if you are measuring ahead and your cervix in not thin can you be induced? or would you get a scheduled c-section?

She measured my fundal length - which is basically the size of my uterus from my pelvic bone to the top of my uterus just under my bra line. They use a tape measure - its pretty funny.

The size of my uterus is the size a "normal" person would have at 37 1/2 weeks....so it is larger than normal.

This could mean A) I'm having a BIG baby or B) I'm just big and baby is OK.

If the baby is BIG they probably wont let me go to 40 wks and they may induce me a little earlier. I dont think they would schedule a c/s without good cause, I dont want one if I can help it.

So my uterus is measuring way ahead and now we have to do the sono to see if Chat Icon is ahead too. They are going to do an internal on my next visit - I believe. I'll be 36 weeks.

Re: All Moms-to-be Check in!

I am in my 27th week and had an appt. yesterday that went well. I had another sono to check on my low-lying placenta, and it has moved up, which is great news. I also had the glucose test yesterday. I didn't think the drink was that bad. Chat Icon I'm still feeling pretty good, not too uncomfortable yet.
