If you want to "neutralize" the theme then maybe you could get sand.
I just noticed the rug in the pic is actually natural.

Sand. I like how it looks in the pic.
If you are like me, you hate it when colors don't match EXACTLY and I would be afraid the greens wouldn't match the right way and if they are against each other anywhere it would drive me batty.
The sand makes it nice and tied together without being to themey.

I'm in the minority... Unless the light green is an exact match with the light green in the bedding, I think it would look off.
My first choice would be sand, I like neutral and it would neutralize the room a little bit. If not, then light yellow.
ETA: I love your bedding - so cute and you can use it if you have another that's a girl.

My daughter has a similar themed room - sammy the frog from Brandee Danielle. In the old house we had neutral carpeting - off white, and it looked good. In our new house we have hardwood floors so I toiled and tormented about what kind of rug to get. These pictures show the first rug - an off-white shag rug. I opted to not get green, yellow or blue, because I thought it would be overwhelming, but that's also taking into consideration the walls are green and blue as well. If you have white walls, I'd say a green rug would look nice to tie it all together.
I replaced this rug because the shag kept "shedding"  I ended up replacing it with a white rug that has little green and blue flowers that are muted so it doesn't overwhelm the room. Image Attachment(s):
