Re: whose watching project runway?
Jeffrey showed his true colors last night, that's for sure. I didn't really get that Angela's mom was overreacting - she was asked her opinion and she gave it. If Jeffrey had taken the time to listen to his client, the situation could have been avoided. However, I think he was looking for a fight b/c he seemed too thrilled about getting Angela's mom.
Did Heidi eff up? In the beginning she said no one had immunity...then when she excused Michael from the runway she said it was b/c he had immunity
I loved Vincent's dress! (I actually really like him.) It looked fantastic on Uli's mom and was totally age appropriate.
I really like Uli's outfit...it was definitely "her" (meaning Uli). She plays with fabrics & patterns really well...even though it's somewhat predictable.
I love how Michael thinks about who he is designing for. He has been my favorite from the beginning (from the first epidode where they revealed who they were picking for the show). His dress was smart & sophisticated and fit his model so well.
Kayne, Jeffrey and Robert were in my bottom 3. I am glad they got rid of the snooze-fest known as Robert. How many chances do you need to give someone to step up their game? It's a competition and he just never brought it, imo.

She meant the winner for this week's challenge didn't get immunity. Michael got immunity for last week's challenge.
Man, I pick Robert for my final three. I'll have to go with Michael, Laura and Uli now.

Re: whose watching project runway?
Heidi didn't eff up. She siad no one would GET imunity from this challenge, but Michael had it from winning last week.
I think Jeffrey was mean and psycho. He should have gone home. The on;y thing she said, when asked, was that she was concerned about the color and instead of saying
"well I know you liked the nacy, so we're using a lot of that, and with my designer's eye I can see that this color would be a great compliment to the other colors and your skin tone. I know it's a different color for you, but I want you to trust me" or something..it would ahve been fine, but he was SO nasty to her. She had every right to dislike it!

Is it just me or did anyone else really like the dress Angela made?
I guess it wasn't very conservative and wasn't elegant in everyone's books, but I really liked it and actually thinked it looked good on Laura's Mom.

Re: whose watching project runway?
As far as Jeffrey goes, I think DH and I are some of the few people that are on his side. Did he have a nice tone with Angela's mom? Not so much. But did Angela's mom kind of bring it on herelf and then outplay the "poor me" role? Hell yeah.
However I can't stand Angela or her designs. I think they only keep her around because there's drama with her and Jeffrey and it makes for interesting TV.

I'm with you! Angela and her mother have exactly the "wah wah wah wah wah poor me" mentality. None of the other Moms were nearly as critical as her mother was.

I personally did not like it. I think it looked like it did not fit her (physically or personality-wise). I think it might have looked good on Heidi though, and I even said that to DH when we were watching it last night.

Some of other moms might have been critical but they didn't show that on TV. I am sure when they did the runway they asked all the moms how they felt about the dress and asked all the kids how they felt about their moms in their outfits. I think they only showed Angela and Angela's moms statements because the angela/jeffrey thing makes for good TV.

I agree. He had ALREADY bought the material, it was too late to turn back. Her complaining wasn't helping him, and he was probably hurt that she was dissing his design.

All he had to say was "I couldn't find the purple and green combo you wanted, but I think this will look even better"
not "get away from my table"
You need to be diplomatic, especially in fashion when you're so customer drven

See, I didn't get that she even said she wanted that combo...just that she liked those colors. Then again, I effed up what Heidi said, so who knows
I just think he was out to have confrontation from the beginning. I think it was lame that he sent his mother over to smooth things over - he should have spoken with his client and LISTENED to what she wanted, not what he wanted. That's not a designer for the masses - that's a self-absorbed person.

I agree completely.
You're right. She never said she wanted the combo.
Either way he was totally in the wrong. I mean as ANYONE who has worked in any customer business or retail situation can tell you, she was not a bad customer.
