$350/ week for full time infant day care? THIS IS AN OLD POST THAT WAS BUMPED - I WAS PREGNANT WITH CAILEN WHEN I WROTE IT
ATTENTION:
THIS IS A BUMPED POST FROM WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH CAILEN. I AM NOT PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that good? It is sooo much money, but if thats pretty much standard, then I guess I'll have to consider it.
We saw one place where its nearly $1200/mt. It was an ok place, not that great... toys looked old, a small little place... Then I saw Kindercare and really liked it - everything was very organized, there was a standard protocol for everything, looked clean, state of the art - and thats the $350/wk, so it will be an extra $200 a month. I guess if its worth it, we'll have to do it.
I want to make sure I make the right decision, being the baby will be under 2 mts old when it gets hauled off full time to day care
I will be looking at a few other places, but so far, it definitely looks up there in terms of good daycare...
please share any info, advice, experiences, etc with Kindercare....
TIA!

That actually sounds about right.
We have a friend who watches our DD in her home with a few other kids. We pay $6.25/hr.
It works out to be about $250-300/hr. I'd imagine that a bigger daycare would be more.

Re: $350/ week for full time infant day care?
Thats what I thought - to tell you the truth, providing up to 12 potential hours of day care 5 days a week, with constant attention and care is pretty good... Of course, I wouldnt leave my infant there for 12 hours, but its good to know the baby will be there all day and well supervised, and taken care of... I'm off to 1 more day care center, and I guess I'll figure it out....

Also you might want to check out this website . It allows you to search by zipcode for daycares and also provides you info as far as the violations they may have.
It is good info to have and also gives you more options as far as smaller, family run daycares, which some people prefer.

I liked Kindercare when Joseph was there. I was there when it first opened & it had some kinks to work out, which I'm sure have been fixed.
One thing you're going to want to look for it how long the teachers in the infant care room have been there. You want long term.

Re: $350/ week for full time infant day care?
I don't have any experience with kindercare, but I do with Tutor Time. And I do have to say I was very pleased with care my son recieved as an infant. If kindercare is anything like Tutor Time, which I think they are. They are very strict with everything, down to youare not allowed in the room with your shoes on, to prevent germs from coming in....
As for the price, that does sound about right for infant care. And honestly, the care of your infant is not something you want to chince on anyway.
Any questions FM me, I have two sons .. So I've been through what you're going through now!!!!

Yes , my one son, 6 years old, went all the way up until he started kindergarten and he was more than prepared for school... My other son, I took him out when he was 3 years old, and put him somewhere closer to my house and cheaper, a woman who does it out of her house..... It's still great!!!!!

I think that's high...We paid $307 a week for extended hours (6:30am - 7pm) at a large daycare center.

Re: $350/ week for full time infant day care?
Its a little high, but not out of the range. We used to pay a little bit less than that when DD was in in the infant room.

I believe we live in the same area and I am VERYYYY pleased with my babies day care, Kiddie Kampus in Medford! She has been there since 12 weeks and is now 7 MOS. I HIGHLY recommend it!
By the way, I am happy that things are going so well for you!

Which Kindercare are you looking at, Farminville? If so we looked there and although it was a possiblity we went with Kiddie Kampus in Medford and are beyond thrilled with the care our infant gets! FM me with any further questions.
