Prenatals?
Hi ladies, I saw on a few posts re: things you don't like about being pregnant - the effects of prenatals. What did you mean by this?
TIA

Re: Prenatals?
I haven't had any negative side effects of the prenatals. I've been taking OTC ones.
The only trouble I had was if I tried taking them on an empty stomach ( ). I changed brands and take them at night - no problems.

Re: Prenatals?
I was taking Prenate Elite and was experiencing the same problem. I swicthed to Citracal and haven't had any problems with them which has been sooo helpful! I too was gagging and burping up that nasty taste. These citracal have a slightly citrus-y smell to them which I am convinced helps a bit

Re: Prenatals?
I got sick (ms) from them. I couldn't take it anymore, so my doc said it was ok to take 2 flintstones vitamins daily instead of the prenatals.

Re: Prenatals?
I just find I have to take mine with a full stomach of food, otherwise I feel queasy. Otherwise, I havent had any side effects. I am on pre natal plus - its a prescription prenatal.

Re: Prenatals?
I've been taking them for almost 3 years now. I started when we were TTCing, throughout my 1st pregnancy and while BF and now again in my second pregnancy. I take CVS brand and have never had any problems or issues.

I take the CVS brand prenatals too and I've never had a problem with them at all even though in the past other vitamins have made me feel nauseaus. And even better they are SO cheap!

ME TOO!! I never had any side effects with them at all!! Can't beat the price either! $8.99 for 100 pills. Prescription would cost me lots more.

Re: Prenatals?
I hate the burping after I take mine! It is so gross! And mine say to take on an empty stomache which makes it worse!
