Re: Rings getting too tight - what to do???
I'm 37 wks now and had to stop wearing my engagement ring last week. My wedding ring still fits well enough to get on and off though, which is really weird. I could have sworn they were the same size!!!

Take it from a rational woman who took her wedding rings off at 34 weeks when they started to get tight only to JAM them on in a hormonal fit at 36 1/2 weeks because of all the "looks" I got on the Subway....
The nice man at fortunoff didn't laugh at me when he had to cut my wedding band off...
OMG!! See, this is me. Even if it was just me THINKING I was getting looks - I would be trying to stuff my fat fingers back into my ring!

me too! Except my wedding band is WAY too tight - my engagement ring is still kind of fitting.
My DH said that if I wear just the engagement ring people will think I was proposed to just because I was knocked up

Re: Rings getting too tight - what to do???
Hey Kathy, You should def. take thes rings off. My friend when she went into labor, had her wedding set on and could not get it off-pave diamond band and a 3 carat family heirloom pear shape and they had to cut it off The rings are ruined and will have to be reset. Why don't you go to CZ fantasy.com and order yourself up a britney ring or something!

What about putting the rings on a chain and wearing the chain around your neck? I would use vasiline to get the rings off at this point.
There is no way i could do this...while it sounds nice i would be terrified the chain would break and lose them!!
I think I'd be too afraid of losing them too. I will just put them in the safe and go buy a cheapie ring - probably a band - for now. I'm going to try and get my rings off tonight and then go look for a band tomorrow while I'm off.
I took my engagement ring off and put it away but my wedding band iI wear around my neck on a chain with my cross. I take the chain off to shower and thats it.

Re: Rings getting too tight - what to do???
I had to take mine off already as well. I was so petrified of them getting stuck!
Luckily my mom had my great-grandmother's wedding band that is too big for her. So I asked her to see it... and it fit PERFECTLY on my chubby fingers!!! It's a beautiful delacate antique white gold etched band... I'm so excited and very humbled to wear it!
Though i will admit... I do miss my diamonds

I would take them off now before you have to clip em off
When my rings get too tight I plan on wearing my wedding band around my neck with my cross or having DH buy me a "subsitute" band since your fingers may take awhile after the baby to get skinny again.

Re: Rings getting too tight - what to do???
I had to take mine off around 30 weeks with Sarah. For a while I wore a claddagh ring that still fit, but then after a while everything annoyed me, so I didn't wear anything. At that point I didn't care what anyone thought - and probably would have ripped someone's head off if they made a comment about me not being married.
I had finally lost enough weight to get them back on again and got pregnant again, so now I'm ringless again most of the time. Sometimes I can squeeze the claddagh on again, but it can be rough to get it off later in the day.
DH was/is really good about it. He said there are plenty of men who don't wear their rings, and what difference does it make if he knows that I love him and am committed to him.
I still miss wearing my rings, I love them, I think they are so pretty.

Re: Rings getting too tight - what to do???
I got a cheapie fake ring, I felt wierd not wearing one. Plus, I didn't want those "Oh poor young girl what did you do to yourself-looks from strangers. I had to take them off at about 30 weeks they still fit, but bother me.

You can try HSN or QVC they sell inexpensive 14 karat gold cubic zirconia rings which some look very real!
