No... it is possible!
At my son's daycare last year there was a boy there and his parents were Lesbians. They told the teacher there that they used a turkey baster to get PG using the non PG women's brother's sperm! Talk about gross! Not that they're lesbians (none of my business) but because they used their brother's sperm! If I was a Lesbian, I would of used donor sperm!
What does the child put down on the school applications? Mothers Name: Nancy Profession: Secretary Fathers Profession: Turkey Baster!!!!!
That's funny ? That to me is quite offensive ....why would someone make a joke about the conception of a child? It's the love people have for their children not 'how they were conceived'. Im glad you said it!!!! I saw that earlier tonight and this was my thought exactly-
Mothers and Fathers are considered such because of the bond of love they share with their children, not because they conceived the child through completely "natural" means. Why should it matter HOW they were conceived, or in cases of adoption, WHO conceived them?
I question Wondering's "logic". Based on the same flawed "logic" a parent who adopted, had a surrogate or IVF to have a child would also no be considered the "parent". Yet, a completely irresponsible person who conceived without being emotionally, financially or psycologically ready and able to parent a child would? Maybe this was just a cute joke that went wrong. I certainly hope so and they never have to feel the pain of people TTC.

Hey, if the turkey baster worked for them - then good for them. I also would be skeptical about putting something inside of me that has not been sterilized but in reading TCOYF, it tells a story of a couple who did not get EWCM and they inserted actual egg whites into the woman and she got pregnant! However, in another part of the book, they do not recommend putting anything unsterile inside of your body for fear of infection.

Theresa, that was so well said !!!
I just feel like that "joke" was extremely malicious (especially since it's a new poster, obviously a regular poster with a different alias) and I did not see the humor.

Speaking of unconventional tools, I know someone from a blog whose doctor used a crochet hook to break her water.
I'm sure there are other things, when sterilized, that can be used for medical purposes.
