My parents bought the same one over the summer for almost $2000 (with a discount!)

"most" plasma are high def...just be wary of the noramlly cheapier ones which don't do true HDTV...there is something called EDTV (enchance defination TV) and look no where close to HD...
Best Buy was the place to be today as each store had at least 10 panosonic hdtv

They actually only had 5 of the 42"... and i think you had to start waiting outside at 11pm last night- so i dont think it was really the place to be 
PC Richards, BJs.... less popular places i think were a bigger score (IMO- just because i canNOT deal with crowds).

I thought these were OK deals: I got 2 digital cameras for $98 each, a few 2GB memory cards for $29.99, 1GB memory card for $14.99, and a 2GB usb flash drive for $29.99
I also got my NY cares gifts today

I was at Walmart at 4 am. I don't think it was worth it at all and would not bother again.
My friend did get a 32" LCD for $598 and the personal DVD player for $49.
I got moon shoes for my nieces for $30 ($10 cheaper than regular price), a barbie for $5, a Cabbage Patch kid for $10, board games for $8 and a remote control truck for $12 as well as a lot of other toys.
After breakfast, I got to Target at 9 and the TV/DVD player I wanted there was sold out. So was the toaster oven I wanted to buy
I eventually ended up at Best Buy (the closest store to my house) and got an Insignia (Best Buy brand) 20" Flat Screen LCD TV/DVD player that can be wall-mounted for $499. I also an Oster Convection Toaster Oven for $69, which is the price it was advertised at Macy's and Target.
I now feel jet-lagged, but I have finished my Christmas shopping

We got TONS of stuff at Kohl's!!!! They had such great deals AND we got $50 back to use from nov 26 - dec 2nd. Can't wait to go back on Sunday and get $50 worth of more stuff for free!
Express had good sales and got $25 back there also!
Holiday shopping is 90% finished!
