Cop impersonator found guilty of murder
I just had to share this news with you all.
Reginald Gousse, the man accused of impersonating a police officer and fatally shooting a bank manager and father of three on his way home from work in January, 2005, was convicted of murder Wednesday.
"I feel he should be put away, and they should throw away the key," said victim James Gottlieb's widow, Elizabeth Gottlieb, after learning of Gousse's indictment last year. "He's an animal for what he did to my husband."
Gousse, 31, of Rosedale, had been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery and first-degree criminal impersonation.
On Jan. 5, 2005, authorities said Gousse pulled over Gottlieb on Semton Boulevard in Franklin Square in a dark sport-utility vehicle outfitted with roof lights, told Gottlieb that he was a police officer, then demanded that he hand over his keys.
When Gottlieb became suspicious, Gousse shot him twice, police said. Gottlieb was taken to Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, where he died.

We are all holding up. I think my mom still not being here is very big shock but at least DH's family has gotten justice.
