The Echo Maker by Richard Powers.
National Book Award winner, Pulizer finalist...but I've been skimming whole pages here and there because it just goes on and on about who knows what.

It's a children's novel... I've only read the first chapter but it's HYSTERICAL so far. I wish I could read it to my kids, but there are already a few inappropriate things in there... even though it says it's a 5th grade reading level.

really? I loved it. I felt like it was a return to her older style of writing, but Im a big fan of hers. I didnt like the ending though.

I jsut finished reading Forever, I don't remember who its by but he was a columnist. It's a little far fetched but amazing story about a young man from Ireland who comes to NY in the mid 1700's and the descriptions of Ireland and how NYC then till now is just amazing

OMG... LOVE that book! it ws written by Pete Hamill.... The beginning gets a little laborous, but keep going... it's SOOO amazing.....
