Do you believe that everything happens for a reason...

I am convinced that my DH and I are having trouble TTC because it is just not our time yet...for example, I tried for over a year and then decided to finally switch jobs to work closer to home (esp so I am closer when we have kids) and now I hate my job. So now I am looking for a new one and of course TTC will probably be on the backburner for a while...unless it just happens, which will be a miracle!

anyone else feel that way? About jobs? TTC? life?!!

i absolutely feel that way. almost everything in my life happened and after the fact i reaized how it worked out some way or another.

i think it also helps to have a positive outlook and make the best of what is handed to you

I totally believe everything happens for a reason, although i'm sure people who have been ttc for a long time don't want to hear that. We've been trying since April, but went on hiatus due to my thyroid. I'm just thinking that it's not our time yet. Who knows in another 2 years if I'll still believe that if I'm not PG. I think so. But I know when you are going through the rough time it's really hard to feel this way. But isn't great when you get threw it and look back and realize that the experience did happen for a reason??? Know what I mean?

Yes, I believe that everything happens for a reason. Weather it's getting hired, moving, parenting, all things in life happen for a reason. I believe God has a plan for my life & my family and if things go as planned then it's great. But if there are obsticales on the way, it's for a reason.

I do. You know the saying, hindsight is 20/20? There are just some things that don't always make sense, but when you look back upon them, you realize that it WAS in fact the right time. There are those days when you feel like life is throwing you obstacles, but then you get in the car and realize if you left the house 5 minutes earlier, you would've narrowly missed an accident. Then you realize that there is something looking out for you.

When I was going thru so much crap in my life (way before DH) and my MOm used to say this to me, I used to HATE this saying..
But in this case, Mom did know best.

Everything DOES happen for a reason, of course at the time you dont always know WHAT that reason is and it can be very upsetting/difficult... but often years later, it does all come full circle and you DO understand what those reasons were

I'm a firm believer in biology. When your body is ready or physically able, it will happen for you. Unfortunately, this past year it was really hard for me to see the higher reasoning behind some of the things my family had to go through.

Amazing how growing up I never realized that pregnancy and healthy babies were not a future promise - but a person's deepest wish and prayer.

yes I do...everything that happens I believe is a Life lesson. If you dont learn from the lesson, it will repeat itself in another way

and i think you have people that continuely show you that, people who can inspire you, give you hope. That when it is your time...it is your time.

I used to think that way, but I can't imagine ANY reason that we have been TTC for 4 years and spent 60k+ and no baby.

While I do agree everything happens for a reason (then why else would it happen?) - the one thing I have trouble with is that God intended things to happen.
I hope others do not jump on me for that statement. There are things in my life that have happened for me to struggle with that one.
