I love your ideas!! All of you!!
Seriously, just RSVP no and don't send a gift. The only time you would send a gift is for a wedding or if it was someone close to you. In this case it is totally not necessary.
Besides she's gonna have plenty of stuff without your help.

ME TOO! I alsmot peed myself each time someone made a suggestion. I really like the idea of one of each placemats or one toothbrush holder from one style, a gray bath rug, a lavendar towel set, a watse basket from another set.
Im NOT going, but I cant wait to ask how it was, and what she got!

It sounds like she really didnt understand the whole "registry' thing. I would RSVP and send a small gift. Maybe a $5 or $10 gift card.

Maybe you could send her a gift before hand... like a Book called "registering for Dummies"
(then again, that may stump her if the store doesnt have any "Dummies" in stock for her to register for )

. I know this thread wasn't intended to be funny, but it's hilarious!!! Some of these suggestions are great. Seriously though, I have to agree with the majority. RSVP no, if you DO give her a gift, make it something really small and inexpensive.

BTW, that spoon rest reminded me of a butt.
I know it wasn't the intent, but this thread was a riot. Sometimes those are the best ones- they're not meant to be funny but they turn out that way.

Re: Would you send a gift?? (updated! CHECK OUT WHAT they registered for!)
I don't mean to be mean, but is she from the United States?
My DH's cousin's wife had 2 registries with SO MANY MULTIPLE items we were all shocked. And, when I went to her shower, I saw that she got a bunch of stuff that was already on her registies, but she never updated it.
My MIL thought it was because this girl is 1st generation American and doesn't know how it really works...eta: My MIL is from Italy and they don't do any kind of registry there. This girl is also from Italy
Let me tell ya, she's going to have enough kitchen stuff to last her the rest of her life, and maybe her children, too!

Yes, she a 1st grade teacher, born in US, and as far as I know, perfectly intelligent. I cant understand it myself.
She really truly most not "understand"registries, because no-one registers for 5 vacuums....I think maybe she thinks people will see one purchased and not buy the others? I dont know? The weird part is like one registry has 2 vaccums listed...then the next two more? Its very weird!

How about getting her the stuff you sprinkle on carpets before you vaccum? If you get her 5 different ones, she can use one for each vaccum!

this is one of the funniest posts ever! What is this girl thinking! I would love to be at her shower though as she unwraps 5 coffie pots, 5 vaccuumes If there will be bridal bingo at this shower all you have to do is fill your bingo card with placemats and coffie pots and you win!

Re: Would you send a gift?? (updated! CHECK OUT WHAT they registered for!)
When is this shower? Maybe she couldn't make up her mind with things and put a bunch of things on the registries and figures that if someone buys one particular thing, she will take the others off: i.e. you choose the bathroom set and buy a few pieces and she has someone else make the decision for her and she deletes the others.
Maybe she has heard so many people say that they hate registries because it is like being told what to buy so she figures she will let you choose of her top 3,4 or 8 choices.
Or maybe she is just confused.

i like the one of each placemat idea. i am thinking she just didnt get it or just didnt go back to update them after she decided what she really wants.
the funny thing is that we hvae friends just like this!! the guy was in our wedding, the girl is a friend of mine, but we have gotten closer recently. i had 2 showes and she didnt respond to either or send a gift. then they came to our wedidng and no gift!!!! i have NO idea what to do for their wedding! she registered for like 5 diff sets of dishes, but when i metntioned it to her she said it was bceause she picked everything that she liked and will fix it when she figures out which one she wants

The shower is mid June, and so far not one thing is off of any of the four registries..I'm thinking everyone is JUST as confused as I was when I saw them!

You should definitely RSVP. As for a gift if you're not that close I wouldn't send one.

Maybe she is planning to open a home for wayward teenage girls and wants them to live in style (and earn their keep by vacuuming and ironing placemats!)
...but she didn't register for an iron!!!!
