I would try to stay positive. If your period is irregular, then these things can happen. It is not uncommon for women to have their EDD changed later on in their pregnancy, so try not to worry too much. The best thing for you to do is to get through this week as calm as possible (stress isn't good on any pregnancy) and see what happens when you go back to the doctor.
Good luck! Keep us posted
I agree.

Re: First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
It might be too early to see/hear too much. At my first appointment, the doctor told me I think there might be 2 in there I left the office not knowing whether I was having twins or not...at my second appointment I was told that there are 2 for sure...but not sure if they will remain. So...another 2 weeks of waiting for me. I go back on Tuesday again to see what the story is.
I know the waiting is hard...but try to remain as calm as possible...and take it 1 day at a time.

I read that sperm can survive 5 days in fertile quality CM, so you never know. I'm new at this, but I have read a lot about women having their HCG levels checked to make sure things are developing -- did you ask him about coming back for another blood test tomorrow?
No, I didn't know I could do that. I am going back next Wednesday.
After that, i think I might go to a midwife. Although I use this doctor as my GYN and absolutely love him, I really didn't like how he was dodgeing my questions and didn't spend time explaining what was wrong (or not wrong). Maybe it's because he was really busy, but I waited for 20 minutes, he could leave other people waiting too.

I totally agree with what Shelly said. Having irregular periods (and then not having charted) can mean that your date of conception is totally thrown off... When I got PG last year, I honestly was shocked because even WITH charting I was convinced I had not ovulated. I usually ran anywhere from 40-50+ day cycles!!! So for many weeks from when I first saw my OB, the doctors didn't really know exactly how to date my pregnancy until I finally got a heartbeat at 6 weeks on my first sonogram.... if I was someone with a "normal" cycle, I probably would have been 8+ weeks or more! So it was frustrating, but its actually more common than you think to have this happen..
so as hard as it's going to be, try NOT to worry this week... I'll be thinking about and praying for you

Thank you everybody for all of your hugs. I really need them. I have decided that I am not going to worry about it. What is meant to be will be. My calcs may have been off, or the Doctor may be off. I just have to stay positive.
GF anything does happen, at least I know that I am fertile, and that's half the battle, right?

Re: First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
You could have ovulated late. I did not ovulate the month I got pregnant until CD 18. You could have taken days to implant. Those when you are due calculators don't take any of those things into account. Keep the faith!!!!

Re: First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
There are so many factors that can throw off your dates....like when conception took place and when the egg actually implanted. That leaves a lot of room for miscalculations. Some babies don't grow as fast as others too. As long as you aren't bleeding and cramping is slight, everything should be okay.

Re: First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
Definately try and stay positive- I heard numerous stories about women measuring wrong based on their dates, especially if you are irregular.

Re: First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
Try to remain calm about it, even though I know that's easier said than done- stressing out will not be good for you. I'm sory the Dr. couldn't give you a more firm answer, but unfortunately, he probably didn't have one. If you're uncomfortable with your Dr. though you should definitely look into switching.

Re: First Doctor's Appointment-UPDATED
That sounds like a strange answer. Sonos are not the most exact though. I think the best measure at this time is how your HCG levels are rising.
Try not to worry -
