Re: For those getting DH Sirius for Xmas...
I was wondering too! I thought it was somewhere around $15-20/month and cheaper if you pay for 1 year of service

Re: For those getting DH Sirius for Xmas...
I got it for DH for his birthday...but it worked like this. He got the car kit and also the boom box...I think they were about $200 total. Then...you sign up online for the service...I think it was $12/month or something like that. For his birthday...my sister paid for the subscription.

I'm ordering from Crutchfield because I have a $20 coupon off of $100 or more - code: PA166.

Not sure if this matters to you (or your DH) but if he's a Howard Stern fan, he will not be available on XM, only Sirius.

Thanks - I kind of figured. Also figures that my DHs car came with an XM radio and not Sirius!

Re: For those getting DH Sirius for Xmas...
I just bought it directly from sirius.com as they are running a $50 rebate. I got him the sportster package (has rewind, shows scores, etc.) and with the rebate that was $100. We'll probably take the montly plan, which is $12.95 a month.

No, he isn't really a big Stern fan, he likes O&A and they are on XM. Plus XM is a larger network and has more to offer, including MLB and O&A.
Thanks for the heads-up though.

We've had XM for about 1.5 years now. We love it. We always have O&A on. And tell your DH that Ron & Fez are on the same channel at 11am now. He can tune it in through his computer at work if he wants.

Thanks Cathy! He does listen to O&A daily from downloads he gets on his PC - I think he knows about Ron & Fez too, but I will tell him. I think he would love to have the MyFi though.

Thank you! So you need to get a separate radio for it to work in the house?
Is there anything that will let it come through your current stereo set up? I think I am thinking of an Ipod, my cousin came over and place his ipod next to/on my speaker or stereo ... all I know is his ipod plaed through our stereo. Is there equipment for Sirius like that?

Re: For those getting DH Sirius for Xmas...
My DH sells them at his shop so I get to try out all the new stuff Personally I like XM better, I have an XM MyFi and I have a cradle in the car for it and one connected to our home stereo, I can just move it back and forth. My son loves the kids station on XM too.
