If an ex, but once very close friend were pregnant...

would you buy them something off thier registry and send it to them?

I just found out my ex best friend (whom I haven't spoken to in almost 3 years) is due in October. Even though we didn't end our friendship on such good terms, I thought maybe sending a gift might show that there are no hard feelings and that I still care.

Are you looking to be back in contact with her? No matter what, that would be a very nice and friendly gesture.

Thats nice of you. For me, it would depend on just how badly the friendship ended.

It would depend on: how bad it ended and if you wanted to become friends again.

If you wanted to open the door to renew the friendship I think it would be a nice gesture.

I'm in the exact same situation although it has been less than 3 years and I just ordered something off of her registry to be delivered to her.

I agree. If you don't want to be friends with her again, I think you should let her be.

If you do opt for the gift I think you should send it with a letter. Sending a gift leaves her obligated to contact you back & I'm not sure I'd want the stress of that during pregnancy.

It depends on why the friendship ended but I think that's a sweet gesture.

If you were looking to become friends again on some level it would be a be a very nice gesture & an easy way to make the first step BUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO START A FRIENDSHIP I WOULDN'T SEND ANYTHING BECAUSE SHE MAY GET THE WRONG IDEA.

whoops sorry I hit the caps lock and too lazy to retype!

Re: If an ex, but once very close friend were pregnant...

send it if you want to rekindle the friendship

if you want to keep her at a distance, then you should really remain that way and not send a gift

It depends on what happened to end the friendship.. It's a nice gesture and if you want to become friends with her again then send it.. if not, leave her be. JMO

You can also just send a card. I did that with someone when their dad passed away. I wasn't interested in renewing the friendship, I just wanted to express my sorrow and show her I still care.
