im telling you, go for the steroid..it should do miracles, might make you a little hungry, but clears those things up in no time

When I was in college I developed something similar, ot was under my eyes and around my mouth.
The Dr. called it PERIORAL Dermatitis and prescribed something called METROGEL (Metronidazole) by Galderma. It was 7 years ago, but I remember because it was a burning and itchy feeling. It was quite painful, not to mention somewhat embarrassing. But it did go away.

I had this last year!!!!!!! It was around my nose and lip area....the dr knew what it was before I even sat down. She gave me some cream and pills (I am so sorry I forgot the names) and it went away in a few weeks. Mine was a little itchy and dry.
