Nothing....
BUT - - you could put your cell phones on one plan. - combine your car insurance under one name, as well as any other memberships like AAA.
Great Advice !!! -You can also try to pay off your credit cards so that you have no CC debt. We pay off ours in its entirety at the end of the month. Once you don't have this, that money that you are paying every month can be saved. -We both have sort of an allowance of $100 for each of us for 1 week to spend in what we need (lunch, gas etc). -We have a separate savings account besides our savings/checking account and the money that is deposited there is not withdrawn.

Re: What do you do to save money?
not much
buy things on sale - never ever pay full price- EVER
i dont buy expensive coffees like starbucks unless i have a gift card or if someone else is buying (like at work)
i get free breakfast and lunch and cell phone at work so that saves me a ton
trying to go to the grocery store less....by being more creative with my meals
i dont have great tips though...im not good at saving

Re: What do you do to save money?
keep my arse out of the stores and make a concious effort between want and need .
Trying not to use credit cards, I have come a LONG way in the past few years with this one.
Also, we have switched broadband companies, will be switching cell phone carriers etc. every little here and there is helping.

Re: What do you do to save money?
Def. direct deposit $$ (even it's $100 a month) into a seperate account..I used to do this when I was living at home/working..you would be surprised how much you can save..
We try to limit our eatting out...not only will you save, but you will probably drop weight..
Transfer credit card debt to 0% and when that's up, keep transferring it to other 0% cards..I have been doing this with my grad school tuition and it's saved me soooo much $$$

Re: What do you do to save money?
a couple of things
~ make my own coffee in the morning ($1.60 a day doesn't sound like much, but times 185 school days, it adds up)!
~ bring my lunch 4x a week - I do let myself spurge like once a week if there is something on the menu that I really love
~ cook at home!! this has got to be the biggest way of saving, IMO! especially if when you grocery shop you hit sales and use coupons.

Re: What do you do to save money?
We've been bad lately, but here is what I/we ususally do: clip coupons and buy onsale pay the credit card in full use the atm only at the bank for that card (save atm fees and interest on the c/c) watch electric usage shop at tj maxx/marshalls look for sales make a list for the grocery store we opened a little savings account for big future splurges like a new tv or something. bring lunch starbucks/dunkin donuts is a TREAT, not a staple
we've been bad with eating out. That is our vice. But we're starting to make a weekly menu to help with that.
We also have the spare change jar, which last year, paid for the dishwasher. Now, we take quarters out for laundry, so that stinks.
