This was right outside my mother's door this morning

You're probably right! Last week I was on the phone with my mother and she was telling me that there were these kids swimming in the lake and she couldn't believe their mother was letting them do that with all the gators around. She said this year it seems like there are more gators around than she's seen in the past.
