take care of your health first, worry about the student teaching later. you can always go back and teach if required (see if you can work something out given the circumstances), health-wise you don't want to risk irreparable damage.
REST, REST, REST and keep those feet up. I delivered 3 weeks early when they found protein in my urine...you may not have a choice. But I agree with the strict bedrest other than work.
please listen to your doctors if they say bed rest! my friend just delivered at 27 weeks b/c she had such bad severe preeclampsia. it is not something to mess with!
I had preclamsia, and its no joke! I delivered 2 weeks early. I got sooo swollen and my bloodpressure was very high. I had to have an emergency c-section. Listen to your doctor!! I hope everything works out well for you!
ETA: My DD and I were fine after delivery, but when I got to the hospital they have to give me medication so we wouldnt have complications.
Thanks for all the FM's and thoughts...you guys are all truly so wonderful!
I talked to my cooperating teacher and she is so good about everything! Our prep is at the end of the day and she said I could leave early and write that i stayed if need be. She was reminding me all day to put my feet up, drink water and pee! She was even having the first graders remind me to put my feet up (she told them my feet hurt).
I will have to talk to my supervisor but I am hesitant because she has been a total b!tch since she found out I was expecting She pays me no mind ( found out she even tried to get rid of maternity leave when she was a superintendent!) Needless to say she is not well liked.
I have had my feet up since I got home and hopefully the doctor will see some improvement next week and not put me on bedrest!
