FYI, UV Gel and Light Concept Nails are two totally different things.
I posted a thread a few weeks ago looking for a place. Bellepaige referred me to a place in Brooklyn and I found 2 in NYC. I haven't had mine done yet because I too am looking for somewhere in LI
I get them done in Long Beach if that works for you
I thought you got UV Gel Nails?

I was just searching about UV Gel nails and both processes are pretty much done the same (layers of UV Gel and cured with the light) but LNC aren't supposed to do any damage to your nails.. hmmmmm...

What's the difference??
It's more like a protective coating, rather than something that clogs the nail and weakens it. It's recommended for people with weak or brittle nails.
Based on the website you posted...I still don't see the difference b/w LCN and UV Gels. Unless what I was having done wasn't considered UV gels.
And anything that is adhered to the nail bed will make it stronger "temporarily". LCN will not benefit your nails long term.

I dunno either but Chatcham-Chick's nails look SOO good.. I just hate getting manicures every week and having the polish last 2 days...I would love something to make them look nice and perfect all the time.
Tell me about it. I had those darn wraps too and when they took them off, my nails HURT for weeks! not to mention how ugly and weak they were. They were like potato chips. =(

I just posted something similar to what you just wrote. It DOES seem the same but they keep saying that LCN will not ruin your nails. Like I said, I've never done either, which is why I had looked into it...

Re: Permanent French Nails Question
My friend had the UV gel nails done at Yooni Nails on Willis Ave. in Roslyn.
Don't know the guy's name but he did a great job. She had a a full set of nails put on and then the UV gel nails on top with a sheer perm french.
It can take polish on top of it...
That is why I don't know what to do. I hate getting a manicure each week & I am so hard on the nails - for some reason at the end of the week, there are tiny "cracks" and dirt get caught in it and it look terrible.
Should I get them? This way I can only go every 2-3 weeks... My nails are really nice though...
