I just wanted to add that everyone really is different and sometimes it doesn't have to do with what you are eating. My diet has pretty much been the same since the start of my pregnancy yet I somehow managed to gain 15 of my 18 pounds thus far in two months! I had gained only about 3 pounds up to 5 months and months 6 and 7 was 15 pounds. So everyone's body does its own thing!
I had a similar experiece. I only gained 3 pounds up to week 18 and from then until week 26 I gained 16 pounds!  I'll be 34 weeks on Friday and I'm up 34 pounds.

I start my 21st week tomorrow and I am up about 9 pounds. My last visit I was down a pound..I got a little nervous, but dr. said its normal. I am guilty of just closing up a bag of ridgie chips
