What kind of poster are you???

Are you the kind that posts your REAL opinion to a question regardless of the fact that you might get flamed and/or ruffle a few feathers...or are you the kind that posts what you think the original poster/question asker wants to hear...or do you just don't say anything if you have nothing nice to say?

I am a straight shooter. I say what I feel and take any backlash that comes my way

I generally say what i mean and I don't mind p*ssing people off. However 'm not going to post anything that's mean. It's the age old example..like on LIW if someoen posts their dress and it's ugly, I'll just say nothing..it's not constructive at that point, and only hurtful to give an opinion..but if someone asks for opinions or if it's an issue I feel strongly about I will give my opinion..and I generally confront people who do things that bother me. I'm not one for passive aggression.

I def say what I mean, and if I get flamed so be it. I would rather have someone tell me what they honestly think if I asked for an opinion than to have people agree for some reason if they really don't. I am all for people saying what they really feel, and I respect everyone's opinion even if its different than my own.

I say it how it is....I dont care if I get flamed for something...if that is how I feel, then why should it be wrong for someone else

I post what I think. If the OP is looking for opinions, I'll give mine. I am as honest as I can be without being mean. But I won't say something just b/c it's what I think the OP wants to hear.

If I don't agree and really really disagree I generally do not even post. I know I come across harsh in real life sometimes so I 'try' to avoid being being harsh to strangers

If I don't agree or don't have something nice to say, I just don't post.

I was hoping this was about the other kind of poster. I was going to say Led Zepplin and I need a black light.

I always try to be as honest as possible without offending too much...I would never post an answer to appease someone...if they ask for honesty, they'll get it..but i try to be tactful about it!

Depends on my mood.
I can be a straight shooter but sometimes I take passive aggresive digs (although i haven't done this in a while because I was trying to better myself)
now, a lot of the times I just try to be civil.

I used to be very blunt and opinionated

but realize it's not worth the aggravation and it doesn't change people's minds anyway

so now, i usually just keep quiet

I post my real opinion, but I try to be diplomatic about it. You can get your point across without being deliberately hurtful. Being mean about it doesn't mean you are more honest.

I say what I mean and mean what I say. But I always think 2x about what I write and if it's appropriate for the OP. In other words, if I know you and you know me then I know I can be brutally honest with you and you won't be offended no matter how harsh I may come off. On the other hand, if we're not over-friendly then I'll give my opinion in a more straight-forward way with the "JMO" safety-net. And then there are many times when I just hold my tongue (or fingers in LIF's case) and follow the old adage "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all". No matter what my opinion is I always try to say it nicely, there's a difference between disagreeing with someone and straight-out being nasty to them.

So I guess my answer really is the all-too familiar "it depends".

I dont know. I would never say anything to hurt anyone. I always try to give my honest opinion as nice as possible

I try to post what I think, not what someone wants to hear. If I know that I'll get way too much heat for something, or if I know it will come out as mean, I won't bother posting. I try to back up most of what I post with facts and/or quotes (and smilies... ) so hopefully most of my posts come off as being either constructive or amusing.

well I have certainly been flamed many times so I say what I feel. But I think that is what we all want - honesty- no? so while I know not everyone agrees, or agrees to disagree, I think we all come to a happy medium again.

I'm not here to belittle people or make enemies. If I totally disagree with someone and I feel my reaction might be harsh I back out of the thread nicely and leave no response.
