What kind of shoes....
....do you wear at the end of pregnancy? Are you wearing flats all the time? or a shoe with a mid-heel? DH is taking me shopping this weekend and I dont know what to get. I will be 24 weeks this Sunday. I want to buy a nice flat shoe for spring.

Re: What kind of shoes....
ok..I got somewhat reprimanded by one of the nurses/doc at my 30wk appt for wearing boots with a heel (stiletto mind you).
And at my shower...which was this past weekend I wore heels.
Im not saying they are comfortable all the time but I do wear them still to work and I go back and forth with flat shoes, like a sketcher look a like.
Flats are in so I know that will be helpful.

Re: What kind of shoes....
I went up a whole size and am devastated..
I bought a medium height wedge and flats for work and wear sneakers a lot- this is so opposite my pre-preggo style.
Everything but the sneakers make my feet swell so badly that at the end of the day they look like balloons stuffed in shoes and hurt like hell - but sometimes I try to tough it out........

Re: What kind of shoes....
Well right now I am sneaker bandit I love the Nike Airmax I have 2 pair and I wear them all the time when I not at work and casual Friday at work.
To work I wear a boot with a little kitten heel. I think for the spring I am going to get mid heel wedges and flats and flip flops going into summer. We will see how it goes

Re: What kind of shoes....
I miss my heels but I just can't wear them anymore. I got a few really cute pairs of flats which seem to be popular now. I also still live in my uggs for the most part because they are just so comfy.
With Spring coming (eventually I hope ) I am going to stick with the flats and maybe try to steal some time with flip flops.

Re: What kind of shoes....
I started wearing Ariat clogs and where they might not be the most stylish... they are SO comfortable. I can slip in and out of them and I could wear them ALL day and my feet feel fantastic.
At this point, it's all about being comfortable. Being fashionable right now's just going to have to wait a few months

Re: What kind of shoes....
I've been wearing my sneakers constantly for the past 6 weeks (since about 26 weeks)
I fully plan on switching to my flip flops once it stops snowing

Re: What kind of shoes....
Thankfully I work from home so I don't have to worry about work shoes - but my issue is when we have parties. My feet def. got bigger and all of my shoes just kill my feet. I have a cute pair of low shoes that I have been wearing. I really don't want to buy shoes in a bigger size because hopefully my feet will go back to normal after I have this baby.
ETA: I am so looking forward to nicer weather so that I can just wear flip flops everywhere!

I felt the same way at first. I never ever wear flats...always a heel and I am neurotic about how the pant leg has to fall with the heel.
But...my body is no longer my own and I had to give in. I am so happy that these flats seem to be so popular though because there are some really great styles available. Try them on and see how you feel - I was surprised how much I actually love them. They look so cute.

Re: What kind of shoes....
I think one of the reasons I feel so ugly lately is because I'm not wearing the heels that I am so used to. I am just not comfortable in them so I've been wearing flats...and although they are much more comfortable they don't do ANYTHING for my self esteem!

Same here. I always wore a heel prior to becoming pregnant and now I cannot even look at them in my closet.
I have an extensive shoe collection and I am wearing the same 2 pairs of flats all the time.......
I miss my shoes!!!!!!

Re: What kind of shoes....
NOTHING I need to tie, unless DH is home to help me... mostly slip in flats since they are easy to put on - I havent worn heels in at least 2 months now - more out of function - and I'm not going anywhere anymore that warrants heels (although before being pregnant, I'd wear heels no matter what...)

Re: What kind of shoes....
I have ALWAYS been a heels girl. At least 2 inches if not more.
But I haven't been able to comfortably get through the day in them and even my boots with heels no longer zip up my calves, so they're bye-bye too.
I wear flat slip on loafers to work every day.
Although I'll admit I just bought a pair of really cute wedges from nine west for my showers.
It's only a 2 inch heel, but it's a wedge, so I figured it's sturdier.

Re: What kind of shoes....
I am not a big heel person in general, so I have been wearing my regular shoes, I haven't been anywhere that I really need a heel for, we will see what happens when/if that time comes, I have 1 maternity dress and I can wear my boots with that and they dont' have a heel

Re: What kind of shoes....
Being a teacher, I don't regularly wear heels anyway.
At my first appt. doctor said, chunky heels, nothing over 2". I think it might have less to do with comfort and more with the fear that as the pregnancy progresses our equilibrium is off and heels don't help that. We are more prone to tripping or falling.
I've been in flat, cushy slip on shoes since the beginning. Either my Uggs or a pair of backless, cushy suede clogs. I had to be on my feet too much not to wear anything else.

Re: What kind of shoes....
I purposely gave up the heels when I found out I was pregnant just so I wouldn't try to wear them randomly. I've been wearing "loafers" basically. I have a wedding to attend and though normally I would just NOT wear them, I plan on getting a pair of ballet flats to wear. If I could get away with it, near the end I would wear flip flops to work. Personally, can't wait to throw on my heels again!!!!
