What kind of water do you mix formula with for newborns?
Due in 1 1/2 weeks and I know I will get great answers on this board!
If you formula fed your newborn, what kind of water did you mix the formula with? Tap, distilled, bottled, boiled tap?

We boil. Just recently (after 6 months) we started using some bottled water while we are out.

we have well water so I wouldn't drink tap or boiled tap here!!
My ped suggested distilled or purfied rather than Spring. Spring water isn't purified.

Boiled tap or just tap water. It's pretty safe in most towns, and the CDC recommends using tap over bottled for newborns since tap is regulated and tested. Bottled is not.
Actually, in the very beginning we used ready to feed formula. Everything was so overwhelming the first few weeks, it was well worth it to us to spend a little more on this formula, so if you can afford it, I highly recommend this until you get your bearings.

we use Nursery Water. i read online that the FDA says bottled water is no good for infants under 3mths old...unless u boil it first. so, then what's the point? u can boil tap water just the same.

I use filtered tap water most of the time. bottled water when we are out and about and I have to make bottles.

My doctor said to boil tap water and use that since it is more regulated than bottled.
